Took out a three year bond which was due to mature on 30th September this year. Unfortunately, when I took out this bond, interest rates were at rock bottom, and Charter Savings were offering 1.35%. One of the most unethical banks I've ever come across. No cooling off period on bonds. Won't honour new interest rate on website even though my account has been funded less than a week! Customer services were unhelpful and rude. They just don't care for providing good service. Ask to speak to a manager and that isn't good... read full comment

Wanted to transfer a isa to them, tried 3 times to call them to ask them a question and after 15 to 20 minutes on each call the call was ended, so if thats the level of service I will go elsewhere.
