DO NOT JOINHere is what I've found to be issues with the gym:Archaic long term contracts and rolling contracts which sting you before you try to leave!Closed more hours than cheaper competitors, especially weekends!More expensive than competitors too. Probably why they don't drop prices because they can't handle more clients with such a low variety of machines and equipment.Facilties seem dated, rarely see any new equipment and out of order machines take ages to fix.Coming from a registered charity which probably doesn't pay any tax and should have more money for investment considering the prices they charge. Bang average at best; Just stay clear.

Having been a member for 3 years and training most days of the week at this gym, it?s extremely disappointing that I need to write this review. Today 15/09/2023 not for the first time, I was approached in an intimidating way by a much larger male for several minutes whilst using a machine. Despite him being able to use the same cable equipment elsewhere on the gym floor, he felt the need to circle me, then take my own personal handle, before swearing at me.I decided to make a complaint and the staff members were more concerned about me being quiet so they didn?t draw any attention to the situation. This is not the first time such an incident has occurred, and I am not the only person who suffers from this intimidation from steroid-fueled bullies who try to intimidate women at the gym. Unfortunately though, the staff here are not prepared to see it as an issue, or are simply too afraid to deal with it.Also if you want to feel safe and prove what went on you will probably have to have a body camera as there are no cameras on the gym floor. Good luck!?Update on the situation: 20/09/23Went to the gym today and after having informed the manager(TIM) that I felt the need to wear a body cam (which he was fine with), I did so. Whilst I was training the same man from the previous incident was there again, so I switched in on to feel safe. For some reason he decided to work out right next to me when there was plenty of space elsewhere, surely to intimidate me. After giving my side of the story on Monday to the GM, little else has been done to resolve the situation, but a member of staff told me I couldn?t use the camera in the gym (although there is nothing in the T&Cs to suggest this). Basically, I?m not allowed to take precautions to feel safe.I?m very disappointed to see that the management team is not taking this seriously. It seems they would rather be dismissive of the woman than confront the man. I?ll be cancelling my membership and training elsewhere. The manager TIM said that he does not believe in CCTV cameras as a useful tool for capturing information that provides relevant evidence. It?s good enough for the police but not for him.

What completing our nightmare my experience was at there. Homophobic staff encouraged..... I mean it was horrible if I had the evidence I would've just taken them to a civil court but at the end the senior manager Tim completely denied all the allegations even though he didn't investigate it.Staff are rude, reception staff more so. There's a toxic culture within the club that the staff supports, contributes and enables.

Having been a member for 3 years, I?m calling time on this gym. This is a registered charity that charges £60/month and is unwilling to:- properly replace/repair the toilets, water fountain, shorts dryer in the changing rooms.- fix a leaking roof in multiple locations across the gym floor upstairs.- is lacking in the various handles required for the cable machines.- has an entry system that is almost permanently broken.- has weight plates that are falling apart.- virtually all the weights equipment is about two decades old.And most importantly, they are unwilling to deal with issues in the appropriate way when it comes to members intimidating and pressuring others off machines/equipment.

Visited this Nuffield during holiday in Chichester area, used the ?free three day pass? and so was able to gauge facilities and equipment well. The equipment is more than satisfactory, with mostly life fitness and a few gems with Hammer Strength. The dumbbells suffice with ranges from 2-50kg in 2kg increments. Cable systems great too but could do with more attachments. In addition to this: sauna, steam and pool are brilliant. Post workout the cafe is nice with some of the best protein drinks on market (500ml 50g Protein Shakes). Overall, staff are friendly, equipment good, good time.

I have been attending the Fitness Pilates class every Wednesday PM with the instructor Samatha Hale. I have been active at various gyms around the country for many years, and I have to say she is one of the BEST Pilates instructors I have come across. She has excellent energy, passion & kindness. So much so, the class is always fully booked. Thank you Samantha!

Rejoined a while back, mostly for swimming. Use the gym a little bit which seems okay. My late wife use to find some classes very busy which I've heard elsewhere too. I would love a bit of space to practise qi gong and tai chi moves.

Need to really upgrade the gym equipment most of the plates are deteriorating and there?s at least one machine always broken, also can rarely find a carabiner for the cable machines. Other than that the staff are brilliant always putting a smile on your face and the leisure facilities are great.

I?ve been a member of Nuffield health since April 2022 and I love it there. Everyone is really friendly and helpful. My children love going swimming there on a weekend at the family sessions. I?ve made lifelong friends there too. I highly recommend it to anyone.

Like the facilities and friendly, helpful staff, however, timetables don't cater for parents - Aqua-aerobics is on every day and twice on Mon/Wed/Fri so no opportunity for a swim and spa during the school day. Additionally, the family swim sessions have been reduced to weekends only and are no longer available Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Such a shame.
