The gentleman that we asked about paint to cover up oil on our walls was exceptional and very knowledgeable lady at the checkout gave strange looks when I went to by said paint, quite rude as well asked me for identification a practice I understand and have to preach at my own job but did not for my fiancée even though he went to hand it to her when I could of easily of been someone who is proxy buying, if you are requesting identification from one member of the group (myself and my fiancée) you should really see the others ESPECIALLY if they are literally putting it in your hand but don?t look

? AVOID! AVOID! This store is you have hidden disabilities or physical disabilities as I went to buy some things and was served by a really rude, unhelpful member of staff called Patricia that laughed at the fact I was unable to use the touch screen payment at her till, I replied I don?t see what?s funny laughing at someone with hidden disabilities of which she continued to laugh at me saying Well other people have hidden disabilities and been able use it? I have never been treated this way anywhere I have ever been and I also where a lanyard, this was reported to the manager?s which I doubt anything happened to her , she should of been suspended or sacked and Not left on the shop floor ?

I visited the store today to buy some bits to repair a small hole in the wall. We bought a doer upper last year and we visit b&q frequently. While browsing the kitchens, we really wanted to colour match our existing kitchen cabinets with the Matt stone kitchen on display. The gents in the kitchen area were able to provide us with a door to take to the paint kiosk. The guys at the paint kiosk were really helpful and had the paint colour matched in no time, they were able to advise us on the colour and finish to achieve a similar look to what we wanted. As you do, we then decided on a whim to buy some other bits for the kitchen, new sink & tap, cupboard handles, vinyl wrap for the counters etc.Having done zero research, one of the guys in the kitchen area spent a fair amount of time with us explaining what was needed to fit a new sink and tap. He was very helpful and took his time explaining the products and found the correct waste connections for the sink we chose. We went for a black sink and tap which were very reasonably priced. As per usual, the checkout staff were polite and friendly. We (I)... managed to fit the sink with the supplied waste kit fairly easily. I actually forgot to get the bits I came in for, but my kitchen is going to look amazing when we get around to finishing it, will hide the hole in the wall behind a plant for now until I can make it back to get the stuff I actually came for.

I needed a small piece of wood to attach my heater, I had no suitable tools for the job in question and to purchase the items needed was not practical. I asked a member of staff for some advice, the gentleman was so helpful he was amazing! I was able to buy the wood and finish the job at home with ease. I do not know his name so I will refer to him as ?Nicolas?or Mr Claus.. as his help was the best Christmas gift Thank you so much.

Needed drain unblocker urgently so travelled 30 mins to this shop as they had it in stock. The lady on the till refused to sell it to me without proof of my age, which I didn?t have? a practice I totally understand for minors however, I am a 35 year old woman!I had to go all the way back home to grab my ID and come all the way back. New ladies on the till this time and much to my dismay they did not request proof of age ????? so I asked them, ?are you not going to check my ID?!? They said they would if I wanted them to but they didn?t really need to!!! I explained the situation & they essentially said this woman is notoriously difficult. So a two hour round trip to buy a £6 bottle of drain unblocker. Never again.

All I want to do is shop but they have so many charity people here on exit it?s frustrating. I donate to my own chosen charities, I just want to buy DIY stuff

Has a reasonable selection of items, but like all large DIY centers, expect to spend some time navigating around the "not so logical" shelf layout. Very few staff to provide any help

Staff went out of their way to assist today...we asked about a product we couldn't find and whilst one staff member looked it up on the computer another member of staff was looking in the stock boxes on the top shelf and found what we were looking for. Wouldn't normally write a review for such a store but we were very grateful for the help given to us today!

The toliets for the public is small and sometimes busy.and the staff are unfriendly to talk to.But the layout of the store is great for shopping.

I went into B&Q specifically for a 100ltr rainwater butt which the website said would be in aisle 59. Couldn't find any directions as to aisle numbers despite walking around for 5 minutes. Then spent another 5 minutes locating a member of staff to ask. He was very helpful and brought the article to me.
