Very very long queue for Post Office Not enough staff

Always very slow. Only seems to have 1 out of the 4 tills open. It?s a shame, as the old Chapel Road PO was very efficient :(

Considering this is the main post office in Worthing, now that the branch at the sorting office has closed, this post office is severely understaffed, always has long and slow queues. The only reason any sane person would go in here, is if they have no choice. Really disappointing, and a sense of dread engulfs you as you join the rear of the queue. The other lunch time, predicably a busy period, had a single member of staff on duty. Ridiculous.

Please don?t consider using this post office unless you want dreadful service, rude and pernicious staff.I queued for over 30 minutes waiting to be served and when I questioned the second member of staff I saw the only other member of the P.O staff was shouting at me 5 metres away from behind the Perspex screen. After we eventually moved forward one place she (the only member working and the one who shouted at me) then mimicked the slow customer in front of us.I find out that Shirley (the manager) was in holiday and they were short staffed. Well, so be it but to be the recipient of such unprofessional, and disgusting behaviour says a lot for the management of the Post Office and the rude and ignorant staff they employ.Of course I now go to a courier for sending the many parcels u have to send so I don?t have to suffer the indignity of being abused as I queue to be served.Enjoy your visit if you go there!

Useless..What's the point advertising your open on Sundays if your actually shut? Then tell customers as WH Smith short staffed post office closed...Such a wasted journey and not supposed to close Sundays until May, yet we are currently in April.

Back again at Worthing Post Office.Yet again only one window open, with a queue of 11 people. When will the service improve. It?s no wonder that people are not sending letters,

I went to sent DWP prepaid post, asked for the proof of postage, the counter staff was very rude, she never used the word please or sorry, very very rude, and the manager came she also never talk in polite way. They don't like free services. I feel kind of discrimination because of my ethnicity. Please try to avoid this post office. Royal mail should take this post office out of WH Smith.

Tried to use the self service machine, waited 20 mins for assistance, no one came. Had to join the queue, waited another 20 mins...

Every time I come here it?s the same. Very few staff and long queues. It?s no wonder that people are not using the Post Office.

Worst post office I've been to in years. Staff just try to ignore customers, and when they can be bothered to serve couldn't be less interested. Where is the management? All the post offices that are now inside WHSmith seem to be in this sorry state

23rd April, 2022. This place seems to suffer from poor management, or perhaps a complete lack thereof! Even the most elementary aspects of service are neglected. Today I attended during opening hours to find a 'closed' sign in front of the counters. It transpired that, though 'open' the staff had not thought to turn the sign round! ? Time was wasted by this, and by the clerk seeming to have more interest in conversation than in serving customers.I was ultimately served by someone who appeared to recognise no standard of personal presentation whatsoever.I pity the people that have no alternative than to rely on this failing enterprise.

Post office was closed but looked like it had everything you could need.
