What excellent service from Barkers. I highly recommend them for anyone wanting electrical products. After our 7 year AEG fridge freezer finally gave up (it had numerous engineers called out over its short life - a really rubbish product) we had to find a replacement which would fit in the space in our fitted kitchen. We wanted to use a local company and so went to Barkers. The in shop service was great as we explained the situation and the space size, with Zak searching through so much information to give us a choice of what fridges could replace the AEG. We settled on a Samsung after reading the reviews, plus feedback from friends who had fridges from Samsung still going strong after 10 years. Barkers were so diligent they sent an engineer out to measure the space again to make sure our chosen fridge freezer would fit in the space. Wonderful service.

Before he even looked at the extractor fan he was supposed to be fixing, Barker's 'engineer' shook his head & made lame excuses about why it couldn't be fixed. Eventually, he looked behind the chimney casing & then used that classic trick of criticising other people's work, namely the installer, to attempt to 'hide' his own inability. Bearing in mind, this unit had been working perfectly for 8 years, I was neither impressed or convinced. I had paid £60 call out fee for this! I have since had the unit fixed by a competent person. Lesson learnt: Don't use Barker's.

A refreshing retail experience! Polite, friendly and efficient in the shop. The two lads who installed the dishwasher and hob were also very friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. I shall not hesitate to go to this shop in the future.

I was hunting around for an XLR cable.i didn't want to travel to Shoreham so i tried these guys and although they didn't have one they had a good look around and I was really impressed by thier customer service skills. Hats off to them for trying to save me a trip. nice one R.Baker will highly recommend you.

Our TV suddenly turned off whilst watching it, this seemed to be an electrical fault as it would illuminate for a few seconds and then not.We decided to take our TV to R Barker in hope the TV could be repaired. They charged £30 to inspect it.The next week we had a call to say that the fault was that the screen was cracked in multiple places, in an email R Barker said 'This may have been due to over heating but it is very hard to tell. It doesn?t show signs of impact damage, it will need a new screen'. This news came as a shock as there was no previous visual damage to the TV or picture.We brought the TV back home and turned it on to see if it looked different from the original fault. We were frustrated to see there is now cracks all over the screen when it illuminates and damage to the rear cover where force has been used to try remove the panel with incorrect tools. It is very clear that the exact entry points they have tried to remove the rear cover, is also where the cracks start. R Barker have not provided an honest service.We requested that the £30 was refunded as a minimum to which they have refunded but we are now left with a TV that is beyond repair.

Can?t recommend their services highly enough. Ordered washing machine Tuesday delivered and fitted on Friday. Engineers so professional and very polite.

After my plans to work in the office were scuppered due to a poorly child, I knew we needed something at home to make the air cooler/move.
Cue calling R Barker at 8.45am, and the result being R Barker delivering a fan at 9.15am
