Visit 06/11/2023 lunchtime. Such a beautiful building one can definitely appreciate. My favourite and go to place for some me time with a cuppa. A great selection of books and friendly staff.

Interesting collection of books in a shop building that is full of character. Nice small cafe too.

It always is nice to just look around just that some is of the items are a bit over priced like a simple tote bag was £20 ish which I don't think is to outrageous case it was very thick and I think the erasable pens add a nice touch but I can't say to much about the cafe as I never went in but from what I hear it's really overpriced but don't really know but the books are at good prices I like going in as the staff don't seem mean they all are respectable and they always have the books you want

Lovely service from one of the ladies in store (I unfortunately never got her name but she was tall and had glasses). I ordered a book online to be delivered to my mums house and when I collected it, it was damaged. I called the store and she was more than happy to reserve me a replacement book. The young man at the counter was also very helpful and kind.

Never been to such a bookshop with a cafe as well, love the vintage look, clean and organised and so many selections of books you can purchase. And can go upstairs sip your coffee and read the book.

Nice atmosphere, always neat and tidy. Staff have always been very friendly and willing to assist with any queries or seeing if they have certain books in stock if I can't find them myself on the shop floor.

Another great bookshop. Looks like a church, but it isn't. It was a wool exchange. Cafe upstairs to read through your purchases, or read through before buying.

I LOVE this place! The atmosphere is incredible, the people are always lovely. I come here to de-stress and pick up a good book whenever it feels necessary. A must visit!

The staff (the older gobbier guy) displayed aggressive behaviour towards me and my friend. Granted we brought in food from outside, being reprimanded in a rude and hostile manner is no way to treat another person, even if we didn?t buy from "YOUR cafe" (waterstones belongs to him ig). We understood that we could not consume food there that wasn?t purchased there and we openly admit that, but again that does not, in anyway, shape, or form give way to such treatment. He needs to learn basic manners and learn how to speak to other people, this sort of behaviour should not be accepted. Squaring up to someone is not necessary and not appropriate. Will not be returning to such a place where one does not feel safe, and would not recommend anyone else to either.

I absolutely love coming to Waterstones book cafe! It's the perfect place to read, study, and have coffee at the cafe. I feel so inspired being surrounded by books and the building is truly beautiful, especially from the roof. The atmosphere is always so peaceful and inviting, and I always feel like I can get a lot of work done here. The staff is also incredibly friendly and helpful, which makes the experience even better. I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves books and coffee!

The elder staff member at the cafe was one the rudest people I?ve ever met, the way he spoke and scolded us was not justifiable as we had done nothing wrong. We were sat calmly and he had told us off just for having our own chips on the table which we would?ve removed if asked in a polite manner - staff members hospitality and mannerisms are much better at cafes like leferitz and tiffin, which I would recommend over this. The way he got aggressive in his voice and started using a harsh tone for no apparent reason at me when he could have simply told us in a polite manner was unacceptable. It?s blatant disrespect and he had no manners or human decency in the way he spoke to us. A joke of a cafe. Will definitely not be visiting this cafe ever again and hope this matter is dealt with personally as no one should be treated the way we have been anywhere that they go.
