“We had our wedding reception here in June. The weather was perfect and the staff were all friendly and helpful. The food and drink were very good. We were able to sit outside in the courtyard into the evening which was lovely. The venue is beautiful and Lydia was very supportive and helpful when planning our reception and on the day itself.”

“We stayed here over a year ago and booked again because we liked it so much. Lovely old building with character and feels different to the usual Premier Inn. We loved the fact the family room again was massive. Pull out bed was away from the double bed in its own alcove giving us all space and a bit of privacy. Staff very friendly & professional. Breakfast excellent value, well stocked and fresh. Cooked breakfast & porridge tasty and home cooked. Probably could do with a bit of doing up but I like the traditional unique feel for a change. Lift was broken on our stay but this was no problem for us. No air con and room was warm so may be stuffy in very hot weather although large fan was provided. Restaurant was excellent - good food, service & atmosphere. Traditional pub feel, relaxed and peaceful. Excellent easy location just off the M62 & near a short drive [ 8 mins] from the local Parkrun! Looking forward to returning again.”
