The 2 female regular staff who work behind the counter are rude. They close the counter at busiest times of day and just refuse to acknowledge the ques. Can just tell they don't want to be there. Poor service

Today my friend and attended the Brighouse Post office with a difficult situation. The customer service was truly amazing and far surpassed our expectations. Mo the manger and Jan were extremely helpful and many thanks to you both for your patience and understanding. Well done and thank you. Ewa.

I have never seen it has busy surely it must be giro day or something wow the line for service was right up to the door plus outside I am like wow I normally go in there?s 4 or 5 people about but looks short staffed today but normally it?s a pretty good service I must have just missed timed this visit on the off chance oh well can have a walk round brighouse stretch the legs then go back n hopefully the waiting time has gone down but yes normally a very good fast professional service resumed has in 10 mins the back log was sorted the service was excellent has per normal

This Branch Claims to offer Full Banking Services - I am a Personal Banking customer who limits are £250 per day in coins for Personal accounts when paying in at a Post Office Branch - I was told they would only allow £200 and normally only accept 5 bags or £100. I spoke to the Manageress Sharna who told they are a franchise of Post Office and can set their own limits. I showed Sharna the my banks Website Rules for paying in AT A POST OFFICE BRANCH and she said thats for businesses ?people that pay?. I scrolled down and there was a separate section for Business. Sharna refused to accept it was correct then back tracked and said again we can do as we please we are a franchise, she even told me to go use a bank and intimated she would not serve me as a customer again. Post Office Branches are contractually obliged to fulfil agreed levels with individual banks and clearly this Branch don?t. Sharna was extremely arrogant and mocked me asking why did I bother to waste my time discussing this with her. Truly arrogant. Basically she said she can make her own rules. I would not recommend anyone use this Branch as they only help you when it suits them an or they are in the mood. I don't enjoy being mocked sneered and laugh at in an attempt to provoke a response. Lets see what the response is regarding paying in levels and Sharna?s appalling customer service attitude.

All the staff are always helpful and polite when I'm posting things for work. Never had an issue.

Use this Post Office on a (nearly) daily basis. All the staff are friendly, and all will go the extra mile to help. I have never witnessed any of the staff being rude or arrogant, although the same can not be said for many of the customers!!!

All the staff are rude and charge you the highest except the elderly lady with grey hair, who allways finds me the best deal and is always helpful and pleasant

Over charged so using post office to post my parcels on Leeds Road bradley. Much cheaper more polite charges correct amount for my parcels. Rude staff sometimes didn't bother to check the weight of parcels need reporting

I visited this post office today. I'm sorry to say that the large lady who served me was the rudest, most unhelpful and ignorant person I've met. I could not believe her lack of customer service!! It didn't exist. She needs to get another job, preferably behind the scenes with no customer contact. I'm appalled! Will not use this place again.And when the post office closes, people like her will wonder why!!! Unbelievable!!!!

Pros:The range of stationery is good and the staff are always knowledgeable. There?s the whole range of services hereCons: The customer service is so patchy. Some days it?s fine, but then you get sneered at or snapped at.First time I deposited a cheque I didn?t know you had to have the yellow envelope. You can say ?at the post office you need a special envelope, which you can fill in before you come to save time?. Or, you can say ?We?re not your bank? and make your customer feel small.You can say, ?I know you?ve already done the postage online, but we still need it to be put on the scales for our system to work?. Or you can jab your finger and just repeat ?On the scales? to your bemused customer.Staff having good rapport with each other genuinely creates a good, welcoming atmosphere. People can understand that two staff need to communicate. But when there?s a long queue, saying ?I won?t be a moment? if you need to chat to each other goes a long way to stop people feeling impotent and annoyed.Some of the reviews on here are clearly from people who?ve been frustrated by the noticeable, frequently abrupt manner. I hope to be constructive. My own job is customer facing; it might not be nice to see bad reviews but it can be used to improve problem areas. Reviewers are genuinely wanting and needing good service - they want to be happy customers.Post offices have a captive audience. If the customers had more choice in where to go, this PO might find itself with fewer of those annoying customers that seem to hack them off. Perhaps then a really good service would be worth aiming for.
