From Black Bull
This iconic Grade II listed building can be found in the very centre of Dewsbury, at Market Place, in close proximity to the famous Dewsbury Market and Town Hall. Neglected in the past, but following a £750,000 investment, the Black Bull is back on the map and ‘says it in style’. A joint investment by Mood Developments, a grant from Dewsbury Townscape Heritage Initiative (Kirklees Council / National Lottery Heritage Fund) and final investment from Inglenook Inns & Taverns have seen this building revitalised and ready to become a pivitol part of the community.
There is a real ‘wow’ factor as soon as you enter – a handcrafted bar steals the show – but heritage colours, interesting architectural features and rich textiles.
