Possibly the worst service I have ever experienced. Staff didn't take our order, even after we'd spoken to a supervisor who said she would send someone over. We were then told, incorrectly, by the same supervisor that we could go straight up to the carvery for our vegetarian option. When we got to the carvery we were told we could get our vegetables but we would have to wait for our vegetarian roast option, from the conversation with the carvery staff it appeared that this happened a lot. Once we had eaten, the staff again did not come to speak to us. We had to find them to ask if we could pay our bill. I was then told very rudely and abruptly that if I wanted to pay with cash and have change I would have to go to the bar. Bar staff however were pleasant.

Breakfast with Santa. Absolute shambles. Had pre booked my table for 3 and a highchair. No highchairs were available and not really suitable seating..Booking for 9.3o. sold out of pancakes. Paid for breakfast for my 1yr old for him just to eat toast

We were a big party and Kiera was our hostess. She did a great job of keeping track of 17 of us. Everyone left happy and satisfied.Parking: Good disabled spaces.

We were a party of 8 celebrating a late Christmas so had the Festive menu. We had been allocated a long table in the function room which was perfect and very private. Jordan (I think that was his name and serving us on table 38) was superb. He gave us time to open presents and was very discreet. He is a gem and an absolute credit to 'Toby' I hope that this recognition will be forwarded to him. I can't think of anything negative about our experience at all.Well done Jordan!

I've been here several times over several years. Can be busy, which I always think is a good sign for a good place. Friendly staff, clean place which is important especially with a busy Carvery place. Highly recommend.

You can't really go wrong with a Toby Carvery but because we were a large group they had put us in a room with 2 other large groups. The room was a bit too small for how many people were in there so it was absolutely 'roast'ing. Also the drinks machine wasn't working properly so some drinks were coming out as fizzy water. I ordered a brownie for dessert and it had been over done in the microwave. The roast was spot on though.

Great location of the table for my elderly dad, fantastic choice both meat and vegetables, all staff were friendly and welcoming so absolutely no improvement needed.

We visited Toby Carvery today on Christmas Eve and despite it being so busy we were still extremely happy with both the food and the service. We were served by Noah who was a fantastic server and could not have been more attentive if he tried. In the past, we have felt rushed and forgotten about at Toby Carvery but Noah made sure this wasn?t the case. He routinely checked everything was okay with our food and offered more drinks when our glasses were running low. Thanks Noah, 5 star service!

The food was nice but we came for the 3 course Xmas dinner. When we sat down we had to wait 10 minutes for someone to take our starter order, I had to call someone over as they had not seen us and it wasn?t even busy at this time because it was the later sitting. Then at the end of the meal we asked for the bill for the drinks, baring in mind we had a refill soft drink and an appletizer and the bill said £28. My mum asked the waitress why is it so much? So they spent another 10 minutes printing another out that was correct. The organisation was not very good and it was not cheap on Xmas day for 2 people. It should have been an exiting time but turned out to be quite stressful.

Me and the Missus drove in here after sitting on the M62 motorway for three hours in the usual winter traffic jam. No booking ahead, didn't even know about the place but what a Godsend. Lovely staff, really helpful and accommodating. Even a disabled space free in the car park. Great visit.

Top marks to the staff for coping with a very busy Sunday afternoon. Service and food was not compromised. Expect 15-20min wait for table and approx 5-7min queue at the carvery at busy times but there is a seating area near the bar to pass the time!

A nice greeting from the waitress, who took us to our reserved table. The carvery was excellent as always with a wonderful variety of vegetables. I am bringing 9 Italian people for breakfast next week who do not know what a full English breakfast is.

Our visit was very good. We brought our Son for his birthday and he had a really good time. The food was lovely especially the dessert.

We arrived at our allocated time of 10:30am after been told we could just go and sit down and go get breakfast (seated the in room farthest away from the bar) we then found out we had to go back to the bar to pay, our father who paid for this breakfast with Santa for his children and grandchildren then had to go back to the bar (he has copd so my sister had to go and get his inhaler from the car) we finally paid and things 20 minutes after arriving nearly £100 was spent and what was meant to be a nice breakfast wasn?t.We all went to go to get our breakfast and it took us over 30 minutes for all 10 of us to get breakfast as we had to wait for different items of food to come out (there was no sausage when we got into the queue and when we got to the front there was no sausages or hash browns again and had to wait another 10 Minutes for them to come out) the children were told get what they want it?s fine they can go back for more when the children had eaten they went back for more to find out everything had been put away and they were getting ready for the carvery! We also all bought refill drinks and filled them up once with the dregs that were left to then go back for another when we were seated with our food to find the tea and coffee things also all been taken away.We came last year and the experience were amazing this year it was an absolute shambles for the money spent it wasn?t worth it.
