Even when I was a small child I remember negative vibes from this post office! The staff behind the counter have ALWAYS been so grumpy. I was terrified of them. For many years now there has been a different owner - the man who has been discussed a lot in these reviews. He really is the rudest man I've ever met. He is absolutely awful to deal with and leaves you feeling small and upset for wanting to post a parcel! Something should be done about this situation. This is the only post office we have in Garforth now and it is awful. It's embarrassing. It's not acceptable. Avoid.

Awful owner who is rude and unhelpful. Big queue as per usual so owner was taking people from the front of the queue to the desk at the door. Wanted a price to send a card to Spain. Was told I couldn?t put a letter inside the card and would have to post it separately. Needless to say I ignored him and was reluctantly given a stamp which he had to get from behind counter with a look of utter disgust. Obviously just trying to rip me off and get more money. Ps the card and letter arrived together in Spain in one envelope with no problem !!

Tall, gent with ruddy complexion needs to learn some manners. Unnecessarily rude and unhelpful. If you don?t like dealing with the public find a new job.

We have used this post office for years and the service has got worse and worse. The two gentlemen who work in the post office are very rude and never consistent with what they can and can?t do.

If you get anyone other than the owner (less said about him the better) serving you then the service will be fine. However you'll always have to queue for a couple of minutes.

They advertise passport photos but when it's for a baby clearly can't be arsed with the hassle and pretend they don't have a white background and advise you to go somewhere else!

Awful post office! Only ever one person serving even at peak times. Exceptionally slow, always have to queue for ages. Not particularly pleasant either. For a post office covering a large area its a joke. If you have a car go to Kippax it's a lovely friendly post office usually with two people behind the counter

Tried to return a package that I bought from very, which on their website stated either Royal Mail or collect plus can return and all you need to do is generate a QR code and they print it off in the store and despatch it , my girlfriend the week before successfully did this and had no problem.However when I went to do this , the man working told me this wasn?t possible and I needed to print it off , he was so rude and could tell he just couldn?t be bovered, ( it was 12:55 and it closed at 13:00). It was just the clear lazy ness and rudeness that angered me the most, worst post office I?ve ever seen

This is the first 1 star review I?ve ever left but I?m just shocked at how unprofessional the owner of this post office is! Every time I go in there he?s rude, he has a terrible attitude towards customers, he?s lazy, he can?t be bothered to do his job, he?s ignorant and whilst serving customers he?ll start eating food at the same time, such disgusting hygiene. I?m now at the point where I dread going in there, if I can I try to avoid going when he?s serving customers. He does not have the right attitude or professionalism to be running a post office.

I have received notification from Royal Mail to confirm that my parcel was ready for collection at this post office. A man behind the desk, asked me for my id, which I have provided. I have filled in the parcel acceptance card with tracking number and my name, signature date, and he took this.He has had a look for a parcel, not by tracking number, or an address no just by name.. he has concluded that parcel isn?t there. Without even looking through system. He than told me to take it with up Royal Mail, and started ignoring me! I said to him that it has nothing to do with Royal Mail as they delivered the parcel, and that it is his issue as he has obviously lost it. He just told me that I am repeating my self and continued to ignore me. I asked for the parcel acceptance card back, as I have received the parcel, met with rolled eyes and card been thrown back to me. He was extremely rude and unbothered, and I cannot believe that people like this are allowed to work in customer service! Disgusting behaviour.

Awful soul-destroying place. The staff who I've dealt with have repeatedly been unnecessarily rude. I was made to feel bad by the manager for not having a drop and go card when I wanted to send a bunch of things - I had already paid online and simply wanted proof of postage from them. Instead I was told just to leave them, but when I again asked for receipts I got an eye-roll and he dumped all my parcels down like I'd ask for something extraordinary. He then persuaded me to get a drop and go card - a helpful suggestion perhaps except he made me feel like I was taking up precious space in the queue.. 'at a time when it's christmas and we don't want long queues'. He didn't explain until the last minute that I'd have to top it up with money right away. When I said I didn't want to top up right now (as had just spent a lot on postage and being a small business owner couldn't afford it) he was very rude. He also tried to say I should only use the card there in future, not other post offices (!?)As well as being routinely unpleasant, the shop itself is ridiculously crammed full of not particularly great items, which means in times of covid it is impossible to socially distance from anyone as it's so full. Especially ridiculous that they haven't spaced out the aisles of greetings cards, which means when you are queuing (always a long-ish wait because often under-staffed) you have people squeezing around you to browse greetings cards etc. In these lockdown times, when a trip to the post office is sometimes the only time you might see anyone, it is seriously depressing to be met with such miserable attitudes.(Also not a fan of the unsettling tone of a couple of the reviews here which seem to imply the managers poor customer service has something to do with his race.. obviously NO)

Michael and the lady with the glasses are ok, but the Asian man is so rude, when I walk in if it?s him there my heart sinks, I have an eBay business and go in every day, I pay around 300 pound every month in postage there, but there?s no thanks for using their post office, the post office in kippax is sooooooo nice, the guy is happy and thankful for your business so I?m going there from now on

I stopped using this PostOffice a year ago because the owner is so rude and bad mannered. However I relented and used it again before Christmas 2020 and was served by him. He was appalling rude so much so I asked for my parcels back and drove to another PO. Will never use it again. What I worry about is the number of people who use it because there is no alternative for them and may be having to put with not only his rudeness and bad manners but his constant efforts to sell you more expensive products (he gets a bonus for doing this)and presenting them as if you have no option. Shameful!!
