Stylish interior and a brilliant menu. Staff who served us seemed nice as well. Average prices I would say. It was really pleasing to see so many vegetarian and vegan food options on the menu as well. The cakes we had were superb and they sell some very different drinks as well. Would have given them a 5 star rating but it was very smoky and smog filled inside due to all of the cooking and grilling going on. Better ventilation and extraction is needed to improve the air quality because sometimes it got to the back of your throat and it stifled the atmosphere. If they sort this out then it will be 5/5 all day long.Vegetarian options: Many vegetarian and vegan options on the menu, quite a decent range, nice to see.Parking: Busy Town Centre location in a pedestrianised area so you can only walk to the cafe, it doesn't have it's own car park.

We were looking for a place to have a light lunch in Halifax town centre, did not want a big meal, but wanted something more than cake and coffee, and wanted to sit inside. We spotted this cafe and decided to try it. You order your food at the counter, which is not clear when you enter, but is indicated on the menu. I had soup, which was served piping hot and was very tasty. My daughter had a jacket potato with chilli, again served piping hot. Service was friendly. I would visit again and maybe sample one of the cakes on display.

Nice cafe with friendly staff. Clean and tidy. Food is basic but done well. Jacket potatoes ard huge and you get two fillings and salad for the price. Alcoholic beverages also available. Lots of cakes including gluten free. No fancy avo and sourdough but fine if you just want plain tasty food

Lovely little cafe. The upstairs was nice and quiet and peaceful. Good value and tasty food. The cakes looked lovely too.

Went here for lunch on a lovely sunny day. Sat outside in the lovely glass arcade as we had a dog with us and weren?t sure if they were dog friendly inside. No menu?s on the outside tables and none visible outside. Went inside to obtain a menu. Selected what we wanted and ordered at the counter with very friendly service. The wait for food was very reasonable. I had a hot beef sandwich which I had chosen to have in a white baguette (last one available- lucky me!) served with a side salad and home made slaw. I?m fairly sure that tortilla chips were supposed to be part of the dish, but I may be wrong, and I wasn?t bothered about them to be honest. My husband ordered steak pie served with mashed potato and vegetables. There were no condiments on the table, and we weren?t offered any at service (including salt and pepper) The hot beef sandwich was lovely. Plenty of tender beef in tasty gravy. The side salad would have benefited from a drizzle of dressing of some sort. The steak pie was atrocious. Overcooked to a point of being burnt. Almost impossible to cut through the pastry. Hardly any filling, 3 piece of meat found. Served with instant mash, tinned carrots and standard garden peas (both lukewarm). The gravy was lovely though. A waitress came to collect our obviously finished with plates and asked if everything was ok. My husband told her his opinion of the pie. She said that she would pass this on, and promptly disappeared leaving the empty plates. We thought that someone may have come to speak to us about our commons, but no, so we left, and won?t be going back?.. Plenty of other nearby places to eat?.

Not a bad little cafe, and was certainly the nicest looking one in the area, unfortunately the service was pretty poor.It would've been nice to receive our drinks whilst we were waiting for our food, but they took 20mins to arrive, and our food came apx 10mins later. The cappuccinos were luke warm when we received them, and we weren't even given spoons in case we wanted to add sugar or sweeteners.No sauces were offered with our food and the attitude of the young girl who served us was pretty bad to say the least. Will not be visiting this place again.

Went in here a while ago. Written on the door in chalk was Carrot and coriander soup at £5.95. I make a lot of soups and love a good home made one and at that price thought it would be really nice. What came was a bowl of red soup, I said to the waitress that it looked like tomato soup and I had wanted carrot and coriander, she looked at me blank and asked why I would think it was that. I replied saying it was advertised on the door. She went and asked and told me they had some and I asked if it was tinned saying the soup I had in front of me looked tinned. I was told it was heinz!!! Wow £5.95 for a tin of soup. Come on guys, if you want to make it in this game you have to make an effort.

Lovely staff and decent quality food, my only issue is that it was very clearly layered and half of the dish had all the filling, but my partner and I waited roughly half an hour for two sandwiches at 1.30pm on a Monday. Prices are slightly above average but nothing massively extortionate

£9.50 for Bacon Cheese Burger. It came on a stale bun, a shrivelled bit of cheese, and half a chewy bacon rasher! On top of that I have had stomach cramps and cannot go far from the bathroom for the past 18 hours since I ate it. I would not recommend this place, I don?t believe it is hygienic.

Had breakfast , sausage sandwich there today , took ages to come was offered another coffee but never received it , very poor service staff too busy chatting with each other .
