I normally never write reviews, however after reading the negative reviews for this pharmacy I was intrigued to share my own experiences. Since the pharmacy has changed ownership and the manager has come back there has been a massive improvement in the service. The service is quick and efficient. Before I enter the pharmacy the shop assistants recognise me and already have my prescription on hand, the pharmacists are always helpful and give advice . Overall the staff are all very welcoming friendly and helpful. I would say pharmacy wise is the best pharmacy in Heckmondwike.

MASSIVE improvement since the change of ownership the service levels have improved dramatically!!\\n\\nStaff are always helpful and friendly and service is second to none.\\n\\n100% the best chemist in Heckmondwike by far!!

My son has very complex medical needs and needs an assortment of strong medication. He is classed as tetraplegic and has three full time carers. We put his electronic prescription in and cross fingers and toes that the chemist will deliver them, or not blatantly lie about not receiving them from the doctors or that they have already tried to deliver them. Nine days ago a request for medication was submitted. After a week of nothing we phoned the chemist and were told the doctors had never sent them anything. Yet on the electronic request it said it was issued. So we called the doctors and the kind receptionist said it had been issued and called them herself. She then called us back and said the chemist told her the same but she insisted they did have it. Low and behold they then miraculously found it, eight days later and promised they would deliver it the following day to us. That day came and went and no medication for our son. I called them and again spent fifteen minutes on hold for them to find the prescription. They then said it was not all there, so could not deliver it. He needs it now it is vital i explained. So why don't you come and collect it. How I asked you just said it was not all there? Well we can't deliver it. But you promised the Doctors yesterday you would!\\nWhat followed was long periods of silence with no solutions. The whole chemists is a farce and badly managed. Never really seeming to cope with anything yet having more staff in there than a Football team. We will be taking this further and a lot higher than the useless management in place there. It is disgusting and criminal how this appalling pharmacy are allowed to trade and deal with vulnerable at risk and high priority patients medication, when it is obvious to all that use it. They are not capable.

I'm normally very reluctant not to write negative reviews, however, l have been customer at Rowlands for some years now, and feel highly qualified to comment.\\nOnce a routinely efficient business, It has now become a joke in our family. No one wants to be the one to collect the prescriptions.\\nPrescriptions are never ready on time (even when handed in a week before). Often the contents are wrong, or items are missing. Sometimes the prescription is missing altogether. It is increasingly possible to spend 30 minutes in a que only to be told to come back later\\nLast time my medication was due I counted 19 people in the shop, many of the ones in front of me asked for their prescriptions. back and went elsewhere.\\nIf anyone at Rowlands is reading this, it is obvious to all your customers that there is a serious problem with the way the the shop is run.\\nLike many other people, I don't have the time or the patience to shop with you any longer, and have moved my business elsewhere.\\nPaul Lawton

One star because you were open!! The worst by far, customer service. Prescriptions never ready, even when submitting them three days earlier. Not a sorry, just a, ' you'll have to wait'. Or, you'll have to come back later. Then sometimes, the medication is wrong, so you have to go back again. Attention to detail is the answer. Not good enough !!!

Great service throughout the covid19 pandemic. Definitely improved since the change to Pharmacy Wise.

I rang the pharmacy and told them to put my two different medication to a side in one plastic bag later for someone to collect. Later I received just one medication. The members of th stuff should listen to the customer rather then doing things they own way
