x10 books for £1 or £1 per book, which is what I was charged. Strange pricing arrangement. Lots of furniture in this branch, more than I've seen in any other branch. Second visit was a poor experience. The Christmas decoration sale table was a dire mess. The very dark haired woman worker hoovering the shop had the vacuum cleaner cable trailing the floor where customers walk during shop open time. This same woman then behaved like I was in her way and holding her up from hoovering the floor (electric cable all over the place) whilst I was putting my purchase in my bag and putting my purse away before stepping away from the till. She stood behind me waiting with the vacuum cleaner, which I found to be rather rude/unprofessional and quite boldly so for a customer facing employee.

We found the staff to be courteous, friendly and very helpful, in stark contrast to their colleagues at the Alston Centre branch. We offered a piece of furniture, some ornaments, and some brand new items in unopened wrapping, all of which were very high quality and saleable. The staff at Alston Centre refused them point blank as 'it was not one of their donation days'. They allowed us to leave without offering a single word of help or advice on the other two branches in Keighley and whether they might take our items. Given that these shops rely on donations from members of the public who take the trouble to deliver them, this level of churlishness is both unacceptable and unforgivable.

Good large shop pleasant staff however if donating goods or loading be careful ,I got a parking fine when loading up in car park at rear, apparently it's a private car park and if you don't pay parking charge you will be automatically fined £100

This is a charity shop with lots of space, so it can display a wide range of furniture as well as the usual clothes, books and so on. Nice volunteers, too, and it's all in a good cause.

I have been visiting sue ryder for years, buying and donating items. Today two guy came to pickup a sofa we was donating, this sofa was a purchase from sue ryder not so long ago . The sofa was in the same condition as when we bought it ! The guys turned all the cushions over looking for faults as well as the sofa ! No fault to be found . It was in good condition for a used sofa ! I said to the guys it's in good condition, if anything a little dated. The guys decided not to take it ! The sofa would have gone to a home for someone who had little money to spend on one .

Always friendly and helpful staff at Sue Ryder shops. Plenty of new goods as well as second hand bargains. They always seem to have a good selection of retro clothing and accessories as well, so if you are looking for retro or fancy dress party gear, and you have a Sue Ryder charity shop in town, that's the first place you should try.
