Went for lunch with my friend and my little dog. Good menu, decor lovely and exceptionally friendly staff. Maybe could make it easier to work out where to sit/ get menus etc on first visit as not obvious to a newbie. Would definitely recommend though, and really dog-friendly.

Whilst the food is reasonable, the organisation of the space and service is not good and dogs in cafes- not a good trend. Shaking their coats next to your lunch. Anyone who came here when Keith was running the place will know that the place is just not what it was. The café used to have a nice laid back atmosphere, lots of menu choice, dogs were restricted to the one room, there were sofas and pictures of the red kites on the walls, locally made cakes and Keith's Christmas cake! Cakes could be seen on show and the service, although not brilliant, was better than now. We don't visit anymore.

We popped in for a quick cuppa and cake as were walking in the area. Lovely friendly cafe , good cakes and excellent service. The chocolate brownie was heavy but so good! This cafe has improved a lot in recent years and I?m sure we will be back again soon.

We are stopping in a cottage in the grounds ofHarewood House and have a old Cocker Spaniel with us , this little Gem is on one of the walks on the supplied map. I read a lot of the reviews and was sceptical to go but I am one to try myself ?What a very pleasant surprise we were in for , very friendly and helpful staff on arrival took us to our table also supplied water for our dog ( and even blue roll to soak up any splashes from the dog) . Good order very easy then the food came and ?Wow the tastiest steak sandwich I have had? . Message DO NOT LISTEN TO NEGATIVE REVIEWS. Try yourself !!!!!

Came to visit family in the area & was looking forward to coming to the cafe as we always do on our visits but oh my goodness what has happened to what used to be such a lovely place. Breakfast & sausage sandwich in a box as we had chosen to sit outside & 2 coffees ? just on £30!!!!! Breakfast had been thrown into box & looked awful. Staff friendly enough but not like the original people who were always so lovely & did table service on seating outside. Will not go again?. Such a shame.

Stopped here on the off chance for a quick break for some refreshments. Parking wasn't great as very limited. Had to wait for a place to appear. Being a village hall we found the actual cafe section very small. Limited menu with what we found was the prices were a bit expensive for what you got. Two steak sandwiches and two cokes just shy of thirty pounds. For a cafe in the middle of nowhere, it does seem very pricey. I know we all need to make money but for a tiny cafe, they just seem to be a bit pricey. We probably would be put off from returning but if you're feeling flush then I would leave that to you to decided to visit.

We arrived after a walk in Harewood later in the afternoon. Nice welcome including the dogs. We weren?t sure how to order but eventually managed. The cakes etc. are not in the same area so we had to walk backwards and forwards to make a decision. Not busy at all and plenty of staff but a bit confusing about what was available. We thought we ordered ham and cheese toasted sandwiches but they came as ordinary sandwiches. No problem. It was ok. There was only one piece of pina colada cake left but they cut that into two!! So we had that.. One ordinary piece and one small piece. I can?t describe the taste of the icing but the nearest we came to was a cross between what we imagined air freshener and toilet cleaner to taste like. So, we had a nice experience but the food and the way of ordering could be better.

I hate to give this cafe such a low score because it?s a friendly place with decent food and drink but a recent price hike left me stunned. We are regular customers of Muddy Boots so on three occasions in May we paid £12 for two delicious lattes and two portions of sourdough toast. So in June I was horrified to discover the cost of the same order gone up to a staggering £17. Now I?m not for one minute saying don?t use this cafe but just be careful what you order. I appreciate that food outlets are not exempt from the recent increases in food and fuel we all have faced but this increase still seems excessive. I questioned it at the time but was advised the printed menu had the prices on. I simply hadn?t checked before ordering but I won?t make that mistake again.

We live in the area and I think we go to Muddy Boots at least twice a week as we walk our dog nearby. Firstly the staff ALWAYS give a very warm welcome and are delightful! We think the chef gets better and better with some very interesting 'specials' but the steak sandwich is 'to die for'... coffees are delicious and the truffle egg mayo sandwich delicious. There are times when the place is overrun with not only humans but the furry kind too and the staff are a bit harassed but they try their best! All in all one of our favourite places...keep up the good work!

Just a super atmosphere after a 5 mile trek, very friendly and accommodating. Great coffee and the carrot cake was excellent

Having read recent reviews we had low expectations so we were pleasantly surprised. The cafe was busy mid morning so service was a little slow although acceptable. Our food and drinks were both good and all our group were happy. We could not recognise many of the earlier criticisms.

Total disorganisation in the take away section of muddy boots. No signage or system in place to let customers know whether to join the queue or go inside. Poor display of cake basically tail end and open to the elements. We waited 30 mins for 2 coffees and it was not that busy. Lady behind counter was rude to some of the customers, demanding the door be closed when it was not possible to do this with dogs and customers in the entrance. A lady had come through from the cafe to look at the sandwiches and was challenged by the take away lady in a brusque manner. A separate hatch to serve takeaway and for people to collect from outside would improve this place.

Used to be relatively expensive but the food and portion size was good. Now more expensive and the portions are small and the food merely just adequate. A coronation chicken sandwich was just 2 small chunks of chicken lost in a ciabatta roll with a few leaves on the side. This was £7.00! Also the once all day breakfast menu now stops at 12.00 Disappointing

Sat down, waited ages to be served, finally took our order, waited another 15 minutes and still nothing! Ended up cancelling the order (which was a simple 2 coffees) and leaving. Extremely disappointing, used to be a lovely little cafe.
