Went in for identity verification and the lady who greeted me (her name starts with a C) couldn't be more pleasant. She handled everything with a smile on her face and we shared some jokes. After reading all the negative reviews on here, I feel it is only fair to post my positive experience. I recommend this branch based on my experience today.

25 minutes waiting in the que. Got to the front as I wanted to draw some money out (more than I am able to at the cash machine)I get to the front to be told I need to wait as there aren't any £20 notes. No apology, no sense of urgency at all. They really don't care here about their customers and it's really clear to see. Change of bank is now needed as this isn't the first time I've been here and the same impression. Other people in the que were also saying the same sort of things.

28/Dec/22 went in to withdraw £8000 today but was greeted by a very unhelpful Rude ,unpleasant Counter Lady! She Blamed me for withdrawing my Card from her machine even though it had asked me to remove it? then she Made it very unpleasant and difficult difficult to complete my withdrawal, so i requested my Card back and Left the Branch without my money request ! I think i will cancel my Account and take my Large account deposit to a more considerate and caring Bank! (poor old Halifa!!! )

The staff are rude, unprofessional and lack the skills to operate a bank branch effectively. My husband and I visited this branch to change our names back in September 2021 after getting married. We waited in a queue and the staff seemed to operate on a ?regulars? basis, serving people they knew before others who had been waiting longer.The staff member took 45 minutes to process the name change, only for us to find out she didn?t bother to send off his documents and his name therefore hasn?t been changed on Halifax records. This was after explaining to her twice that a man can change his name after getting married, something she raised her eyebrow and rolled her eyes at. Some education is needed here, as this is not a novel concept.We have tried to make complaints about the service and the fact my husband still doesn?t have his name changed, but not a single person at Halifax has got back to us. We are still following this up in February 2022.Save your time and just bank elsewhere?

ponte halifax isnt best at the mo ,closed when it should be open , no one near the door to explan why ,just says technical fault ,no one answered phone when i enquired ,

Totally unacceptable service, had run about since November due them refusing my switch and after numerous failed call backs and complaint acknowledgements I went to the branch to have the "manager" act in a very rude uncaring way more bothered to tell me to go to ombudsman even though I can't as no response from Halifax and it's over 6 months! Avoid if you want your money safe and fair treatment as these don't care unless they making on you

Unacceptable visit on Monday 7 june? taking my mam to withdraw cash? the lady on right side of counter from the main entrance? very negative and poor customer service? didn?t get her name we was so disappointed? told us put card in reader then put PIN number in? then unbelievably asked for ID ? Before refusing ID.. backwards Way round? should ask for ID FIRST.. IS THAT HOW YOUR TRAINED ??? we had a council tax letter with sufficient prove of name / adress? wasn?t enough?.we walked away very angry and it was a very stressful visit due to late passing of our father?.We won?t be back anytime soon?. We find castleford ? very helpful and showing empathy and great customer services?

I'd like to put 0stars after the poor rude service received in branch today! Very rude first member of staff who didn't seem to listen then the manager even ruder all in all I left without a resolution feeling worse than when I entered due to the poor service received

Extremely poor service, called in today for some advice after being advised online to visit my local branch and the lady was so rude. We had face masks on as did she, she also had a screen on the table in the booth. I pulled up the chair to the desk so as I could here her with all the sound barriers we had between us (mask, screens etc.) And she snarled rudely, that chair is there for a reason push it back now. At which point I decided I didn't trust her to help so walked out. She clearly shouldnt be working frontline as she must not feel safe so I would suggest she goes onto the phones rather than being rude. I've banked with Halifax for 40 years and have never been spoken to like that. Extremely poor customer service that left both me and my wife very upset.
