“Loved it in Home Bargains. Lots of space for me and my granddaughter's to walk about. Helpful, knowledgeable staff. I was able to buy what I went for and then a few occasion bits. Halloween and Christmas are 'in da ouse.'”

“the score should be 4,5, the deliveries had just arrived so some item's weren't available but credit to the worker's i asked "roughly what time should i come back for greg's steak bakes" & to my amazement she asked me to wait where i was & within 10mins she came back with 6 box'es gave me the 2 box'es i wanted & put the rest in the freezer, now that to us meant she used her initiative & gave brill customer care, we did thank her ??”

“It's one of the smaller lidls so the choice is limited but still good! There is a car park which is good for the size of the shop.Busy though and does have queues but the staff work through them pretty quickly.Looks a bit grubby but it's always packed so that doesn't help :) nothing major”

“This is a really smart looking, efficiently run store. All the staff are very helpful, professional and curteous. A good selection of food and a good layout. We went today after 3.00 p. m. and some of the food was reduced in price so we could pick up a bargain too. This store is a great asset to Pontefract.”

“A well-stocked local Co-op conveniently located on the way to and from my place of work with a good volume of parking places. In my opinion, the store is generally visited by those wishing to get something quickly, so there are never too many people around at any one time. I call into the store when going to work in the morning to grab the odd supply, and they always have what I want.”

“Always there to help customers and people in the community. Family owned business run by Steve who is a top guy who would do anything to help everyone. During covid they helped loads of locals with their needs and tried to accommodate for everyone. He’s been there for a long time and a pillar of the community. Any negative comments are likely from those who have been banned for being abusive or shop lifting! They’ve been there to push cars uphill / down hill in snow conditions and if there’s been an accident or someone’s fallen they have always run to help them but they won’t tell you that because they don’t brag.Shop has everything - lottto, booze, groceries , Hermes drop off and even a wicked slush machine! Welll tasty!!! Yes it also has a hot choc and coffee machine and a microwave to warm up ya pies!It is a Hermes drop off shop but be aware. Like many other stores in the area Amazon are showing this shop as packagless and no one - not even the shop can do anything to change this. I’ve tried contacting Amazon and it’s impossible. Even the Hermes machine says to package up the parcels properly. What Hermes failTo mention that shops carry limits of 1m (LXWXH) and max weight 15kg. I’ve seen some struggle carry their parcels in and then expect the poor old shop keepers to lift the same weight. Be considerate guys! Rule of thumb: I may be able to lift it / can’t lift it but don’t expect others to be as strong! They helped many people with their parcel issues even helping them with their devices which is not their remit. If it’s your parcel the onus is on you…. It’s your responsibility not theirs!Online says they are open till 10pm but since Covid 19 they close at 9pm.Always try and help people with their shopping to their cars if they are struggling or have an issue like broken arm (self included) or other health issues.heart of the community”

“We really like this Pontefract store staff always friendly - the reason also for writing this review is that some idiot bumped our car whilst we were shopping and drove off leaving us with a damaged car thanks for that!! We went into the store and spoke to Beverley about the CCTV in the carpark and explained what had happened we also have Wakefield Council looking into it too as they also have CCTV - she was amazing so friendly and very helpful and can’t thank her enough! Also Jamie from the store also phoned us back having looked into the CCTV and spoke to my husband and again so friendly and helpful we really appreciate what you both did and can’t thank you enough thanks again”

“Aldi in General have good variety and prices, this time looks as is loosing his cheap prices, because I see most of the normally cheap products become expensive to Asda o Morrison's.”

“The checkout operator was rude and ignorant. The pharmacy is getting worse. Every month there is something they haven't got meaning we have to go back the next day. Also there were 6 staff and they were just gosipping and having us to wait in a queue. I am having thoughts of going elsewhere for our meds.”

“Lovely supermarket, staff very helpful. Can’t understand why prices are often higher in Moorthorpe Asda than other larger stores. I’ve asked in-store if it’s a convenience store & they assured me it’s a classed the same as larger stores.”

“Well I was a bit disappointed with the salad bar ,it didn't even have cheese, but all in all its good food and the vegetables and fruits are there best features I would say.Prices are a bit higher than most.”
