Armed with a complex problem relating to a Halifax account, I entered the Todmorden branch, which was quite small but still had that 'Halifax ' touch, with real people and a customer lounge. The counter staff were very pleasant and efficient, however, I needed the services of an 'advisor'. Enter, Jade, who invited me into her consulting room. I outlined what needed doing, including in my rambling a summary of events leading up to my visit. She came across as extremely competent, knew her business and went through working out the problem, sorting the various elements out one by one, whilst remaining cheerful and attentive. Within a very short time, she had bottomed it. Now all Halifax need to do is bring the rest of its workforce up to her standard of proficiency and the world will be a happier and less complicated place, bearing in mind that incorrect advice by members of Halifax's staff at other offices had generated and sustained the problem to begin with. Hats off to the Tod branch.
