I bought a bottle of brandy on Tuesday. Tried numerous ways to open it, but the top was simply too tight. My partner held the body and I tried twisting it off with a grip tool. The neck of the bottle snapped off.I considered taking it straight back to the store, but contacted Aldi customer services first. They said no problem. Simply take it back.I tried to return it at 6:40 21/9/23. The lady on the checkout asked where were the contents??!!!I explained that I'd contacted customer services and showed her the chat. Unfortunately, I couldn't get the saved doc to properly scroll.I felt as though I wasn't believed.I went back home and got the Aldi Customer Services Chat to scroll and returned it at about 8:00 the same day.The store manager was polite, he listened and the matter was sorted in two minutes: excellent. It's a shame that I had to do a seven mile round trip. However, thank you store manager. Even if you had refused the return, that would have been just fine.I only expected to be treated with respect and not as though I was trying to defraud Aldi. Perhaps the checkout person needs more training? Thanks.

Great Lidl always seems well stocked with loads of parking. It's a big supermarket stocking pretty much everything.Very poor selection for of meat substitutes for Vegan customers and a small selection for vegetarians. That said, it's a very good Lidl.

Our recent outing to Lidl in Todmorden uncovered a delightful secret?this unassuming supermarket seems to have become a de facto gathering spot for folks from nearby Hebden Bridge, notably some of the familiar faces we often spot at the Hebden Bridge CoOp. This unexpected social connection added an intriguing twist to our shopping expedition, lending the visit an air of camaraderie.Lidl in Todmorden offers a layout reminiscent of most supermarkets, functional but far from extraordinary. The aisles and product placements adhere to the expected grocery store blueprint, without any distinctive features that might set it apart. The range of products is what one would typically anticipate from a Lidl, encompassing a variety of essentials with a focus on affordability?a characteristic the brand is known for. While the assortment doesn't break any new ground, the pocket-friendly prices could be an attractive proposition for budget-conscious shoppers. What truly set this Lidl visit apart was the unexpected reunion with individuals from Hebden Bridge, including some familiar faces associated with the Hebden Bridge CoOp. It was quite the revelation to spot friends and acquaintances in the aisles, creating an unplanned sense of community within Lidl's walls. This inadvertent convergence of CoOp employees and Hebden Bridge residents added a unique layer to the shopping experience, transforming Lidl into a casual social hub.The checkout process remained smooth and efficient, with both local staff and Hebden Bridge regulars manning the counters. This blend of familiar and fresh faces contributed to a congenial atmosphere during the transaction.Parking availability continued to be convenient, ensuring that both Todmorden and Hebden Bridge visitors had no trouble finding suitable parking spaces. In summary, our visit to Lidl in Todmorden revealed a standard shopping encounter with an unexpected twist?a lively hangout for Hebden Bridge inhabitants, particularly those affiliated with the Hebden Bridge CoOp. While the store's layout and offerings adhered to the norm, the unintentional gathering of familiar faces added an interesting dimension. If you're in search of an ordinary shopping experience with an unofficial touch of neighborly camaraderie, Lidl in Todmorden might just be the spot for you.

Lidl is a great supermarket, with good quality basics and quirky stuff for special treats I haven't seen in other places, but I wish they would stock more ORGANIC stuff in their Todmorden store - fresh, tinned and frozen. "Zoe: science and nutrition weekly" have just (22nd July 2023) released a podcast you can watch free which is a massive new endorsement for organic. Please, for the health and well-being of the People and our Children, look them up and listen to their podast on ORGANIC FOOD. (I'm not connected with Zoe in any way.)

Always get a receipt because they often over charge you, especially if you?ve bought discounted products, they will charge you full price, and unless you really onto it, it?s a waste of money. also most of the homeware/tech non food products fall apart immediately as well.
