On Monday 25th March 18 of our family and friends came to Murgatoyds for a celebration of my mother in laws 83 years on this planet.Murgatroyds was Brenda's favourite eating place ever, she used to come from Bradford every week without fail, mostly sat in the carpark seating area but also the resteraunt.On Monday we had the most amazing meal enjoying lots of laughter and sharing memories.Sorry for waffling on but I felt I had to leave a first class review as both Gemma and Damien who were so sensitive and attentive to our situation.???Well done to all the kitchen and waiters who didBRENDA PUDDICOMBEproud......????Thankyou for making our event special x

First visit for me. A good friend was treating me to lunch. We enjoyed good food and service. Very much liked the surroundings and atmosphere. Would recommend.

The fish and chips were good with a very generous portion size. I love that they cook with dripping and have haddock which should be a standard in my eyes. The staff were very efficient and friendly, despite the lunchtime rush. 4 stars because the fish was slightly overcooked and the queue was too much (I know not anyone's fault, but there are other places without this issue). The taste could have also been a bit better, mainly a richer dripping flavour. I also would have liked home made tartare sauce. Overall I would recommend, especially if you want a very generous portion!

stopped off on the way home from Harrogate as we had been looking at paying them a visit for quite some time - managed to get a table with only a 10 min wait / sunday afternoon - excellent food , could not fault it our waitress - Tina - was extremely chipper :) and very friendly - this is the " plaice " to come to for a decent fish and chipsParking: lots of spaces , but they do get taken up quickly

Two of us had the Pensioners Extravaganza and it lived up to its name. 3 courses for £15 so we were expecting a small haddock but it was not a bad size at all and very tasty.The staff were very polite and attentive and the place was spotless. (My wife is a cleaner so she notices these things).All in all, we really enjoyed our meal and will return.Highly recommended!
