Each store sells a range of books, magazines, stationery, newspapers, and entertainment products, and the company is listed on the London Stock Exchange.
In addition, WHSmith has a large online presence and over recent years has invested heavily into the quality of service enjoyed by its online customers. Customers can order online and receive free delivery to high street stores, as well as free home delivery on orders over £25.
First established in London in 1792, WHSmith now has 1,351 stores across the UK, employing 14,391 people.
