rubbish. They were badly organised, with the 15 point check happening outside in the dark? I had to book it again in the shop. They didnt take my keys, and i went outside and they got a girl to do it, but she didnt seems to be trained. she left the coolant cap off after I had driven away and tried to sell me coolant and oil!.

No point booking an appointment, apparently that means nothing, it?s first come first served. Waited 30 mins past my appointment time. Technician didn?t speak to me at all until he was finished and asked me to start the car. Terrible service, will never use again.

I bought a child's bike for my granddaughter. There was a reasonable selection to choose from, sizes, styles, colours etc, and the staff were very friendly and helpful (though it took quite a time to navigate some new features in their computer system!) They charge £10 to build and safety test the bike, I was glad of this as if it came flat packed I would never be able to assemble it properly. I bought accessories such as helmet, bell etc at the same time.

Excellent service. Turned up to enquire about a car battery following a breakdown, had it on stock and fitted within 10 mins. Knowledgeable staff, very impressed.

Brilliant - arrived just before 08.30 Saturday morning - served immediately by a professional young lady who immediately retrieved the correct wiper blades from stock. Good price (cheaper than the web site suggested), fitted within 10 minutes - left the store carpark at 08.40 - job done - fantastic.

Waited 30 mins for bulb to be fitted. There was 2 technicians one was following the other one about chatting. One of them could have done it right away. Bit odd.

I had gone in to Halfords wanting my tyres checked. I was offered a free 10 point check within minutes. Layla was brilliant and so helpful in answering my questions and carried out thorough checks for me. I was very reassured with the whole process and would highly recommend the friendly and efficient service at this Halfords service centre. Thank you.

I want to say upfront that the staff at Halfords Swindon were nothing but helpful, and the store manager Matthew was very knowledgeable and dedicated to solving my problem. Can't say a bad word about him.But Halfords as a company really sucks the big one.I ordered an all-in-one roof bar kit from the website using their number plate search to make sure it would fit. The kit arrived with the wrong contents - the brackets did not fit my car and there were extra/missing parts that did not match the included instructions. I tried to call Swindon, as that's my nearest store, but as the switchbot cheerfully informed me, it's impossible to speak directly to a store colleague and I was transferred to an Indian call centre worker. She advised me that this kit was not suitable for my car (lie) and to go into a store and pay £20 to have the bars fitted "by someone who knows what they're doing". Firstly, that's rude. Secondly, screw that, I can fit my own roof bars for free, I'm not an idiot.I went to the store to show them the problem. Matthew understood right away and ordered a like-for-like replacement as well as the upgraded Halfords Advanced kit, just in case the replacement kit also had incorrect contents. Apparently the call centres and stores have a different reg compatibility search to the one the customer can see, which is ridiculous and must lead to countless errors like this.Anyway, 6 days later the parts showed up, and I went back to the store for a second time, taking the like-for-like replacement away to try.Correct bits this time, but the parts are such poor quality that they didn't fit well. The feet sat half on my roof and half in fresh air. The rubber foot pads were split, the end caps were loose and likely to fall off, and there's no torque driver included despite the 5Nm requirement plastered all over the instructions.Back to the store for the third time.Luckily they still had the Halfords Advance kit that Matthew ordered for me, because if I had to reorder it that's another 6 days and getting uncomfortably close to my holiday. I did have to pay the upgrade cost, but Matthew reduced the price for me because of all the trouble. I tried the kit in the car park because I now trust Halfords about as far as I can throw them. The fitting kit was much better, but the bars were too short because the terrible website search tool picked the wrong ones. Fortunately they had the correct length in stock, so back to the store for a fourth visit to swap them. After getting these out of the box, there was a large chunk out of one bar. A fifth store visit for replacement bars, and I finally have everything I need.The instructions are pretty poor, and all the measurements are wrong. Good job I knew what I was doing, because trying to fit them as instructed is both impossible and completely inappropriate for my vehicle.Basically I wasted probably 70 miles of fuel and about 7 hours, including most of my Saturday, sorting out problems caused by a terrible website, poor stock management, and an idiot in a call centre on the other side of the world. But that is the service that Halfords premium membership buys you. Needless to say I will be cancelling ASAP. Thanks for nothing, Halfrauds.

I was in for number plates on my Motability car, I brought in the form that Motability told me to take, I was told that it was incorrect, fortunately a senior member assured me and him it was the right form.
