Only stopped for a coffee but the coffee was incredibly weak (1 cappuccino, 1 flat white). Cost £7 - on reflection I shouldn't have paid.

I thoroughly recommend the crown!Stopped by for dinner tonight with 2 family members, following a table booking we had made over the phone. We were seated with a table ready for us, and the server was straight to our table ready to take drinks and food orders before a larger table followed. The pies were incredible, and as someone who is passionate about game meat and sustainable meat sources, the rabbit and bacon pie is a wonder. It is rare to find a countryside pub serving countryside food these days!5/5 and will definitely be coming back!

We arrived and were greeted by a lovely young lady who seated us by the door. And that is really where the positive part of our review ends, unfortunately. The second young lady who came over to us to ask what drinks we wanted, didn't smile or make us feel welcomed at all. It seemed to us that she would have preferred to be elsewhere! Then we were told that we could go up to Carvery at any point. We were very disappointed with our meals. To be fair the turkey and the Yorkshire pudding were quite nice. The potatoes and the parsnips were very greasy, and the veg and the stuffing balls were slightly overcooked. The gravy resembled the orange grease that you would remove from the top of a beef curry!! And it was as thin as water with no flavour. The whole meal was less than tepid (maybe because it had been sat out for a while??) Overall it was very disappointing, especially considering the cost......£18.99!! You would expect this sort of food from a two-for-one pub. We could have got a much better Carvery for half the price. When the young lady came over to ask how our meal was, nobody on the table said anything (which you might think was rude but we all thought that someone else would say something) And to be honest even if we had complained (at the start of the meal or the end) it wouldn't have changed the fact that the food was not very nice. Yes, they may have offered a free pudding (which is par for the course, when people complain these days, apparently) or they could have taken some money off of the bill, but the food would have still been the same! We just would not recommend anyone to eat here as it's very overpriced, not very nice and some of the staff are not very friendly.

We stopped here on our way to Cornwall and enjoyed staying at The Crown Inn at Broad Hinton. Our room was huge and well updated with all the amenities. The food in the restaurant was fine and it was a great value.

I was one of 36 Ramblers catered for yesterday. It was a carvery which worked well. Loved the veg. I intend to come back again in the new year. Great service.

It would serve you well to add note on your website if you are not serving food on a day your website says you are. Disappointing to get her on a Saturday lunchtime to be told you are not serving food as you are catering for a private party.

We have been to this lovely village pub many times over the years , and had great meals . unfortunately a visit last night was very disappointing. The menu was limited, no starters at all , and it was a fancy menu with fancy prices but unfortunately didn?t deliver in quality and taste. The steak, duck and sea bass were all overcooked and dry. Served on top of a bed of carrots and a dollop of mashed potato with just two limp broccoli spears . The presentation was good and my friends said the chips were good but they had to ask if they could have as an alternative to mash. The waitress was very obliging and they did Knock the price of one glass of wine off. We were told after it is a new landlord who is also the chef, and the limited menu is changed every two weeks. That is all very well but you don?t know what is available till you arrive. I would suggest you bring back a few staple pub classics , such as fish and chips, as well as these specials. And a starter would be good as we are not desert eaters . Please don?t drive customers away from this great pub .

The food was amazing!I had chicken, gammon and leek pie with veggies and mash. And homemade gravy. It was cooked to perfection. A proper suet pie. Delicious! Family and dog friendly. Overnight stopovers for motorhomes too.

The food was cold and they had hardly any variety for vegetarians they had no vegetarian gravy so had no gravy only options was potato, brown peas , cold cauliflower cheese , and hard carrots worst dinner I?ve ever had the food there used to be so good but what tops it off is the bill came to £45 for 2 vegi roasts and lemonades will not be returning
