You need to STOP cars parking or broken down cars being left in the "caravans only" bays. 3 cars parked up in the bays at lunchtime, we were lucky and got a space but while we sat eating lunch 10 others pulled through but had to go straight back out again, a few with young families. Cars can park anywhere, caravans can't. One sign £1,000 fine should do the trick. Start caring about your customers @

Supposed to be 24 hours. I arrived at 10.15pm and found only WHsmiths open. No Starbucks , Burger King , Subway, sod all. Bear in mind this was a Saturday evening too. DONOT ADVERTISE AS 24 HOURS IF NOTHING IS OPEN FOR FOOD. Won't be stopping here again.

I frequently stay at the Premier Inn Redditch, but absolutely refuse their 'all you can eat' breakfast. Firstly, it is overpriced, and secondly it is too much faff. I don't have time for a sit-down restaurant experience at that time in the morning, and I particularly object when I have to make my own toast and get my own cup of tea. The problem is that it is getting increasingly difficult to find a good place for breakfast in the local area. There used to be a great cafe in Sainsbury's close to the hotel, where they would do a proper cooked breakfast for a reasonable price, (see my separate review on that), but that has now been downgraded to microwave heated sausage or bacon rolls. Insipid. So imagine my relief therefore when I discovered there was a breakfast place, "The Good Breakfast" no less, on the M42 that was on my route. I've often passed Hopwood Services, but never had a reason to stop. This time I did. The service area itself is a bit run down. The temporary toilets - a prefabricated structure outside the main concourse - looked quite dingy and more trouble than they were worth, and the place was generally drafty and unwelcoming. The Good Breakfast itself was one of the very few outlets that were open. I went for the Traditional Breakfast, an option somewhat reminiscent of Wetherspoons, and at £7.49, similarly priced. But, unlike the Wetherspoons offering, I was disappointed that it didn't come with any toast. Worse still, they didn't have any orange juice, even though it was clearly listed as an option on the overhead menu. Quality wise, the food was pretty dire. Given that I had to procure the orange juice myself, from Subway next door, it was disappointing. A wizened, dry, poor quality sausage, a fried egg on which the yolk was cooked through, a shrivelled tomato, and just a spoonful of beans, all served on an impossibly small plate. When you see a small plate like that, you know the portions are going to be quite mean and grudging. Shocking, as Gordon Ramsay might say. On a positive note, the bacon was better quality than Wetherspoons, and the mushrooms - ironically an item which doesn't figure in the Wetherspoons equivalent - were not too bad. One last observation: the receipt was barely readable because the thermal print was too feint - clearly an issue with the printer or the paper. A sure sign that neither have been properly maintained, which tells you all you need to know. I might give it another try to see if the quality fluctuates, but for the moment the jury's still out.

If you ever stop at Hopwood Services and fancy a bite to eat, do yourself a favour and don't even consider the Good Breakfast. The customer service is without a doubt some of the worst I've even encountered. The woman serving had all the charm and warmth of a corpse and even less conversational etiquette. Her boss was however even more rude and ill mannered, if that is indeed possible. I would rather done at Nazino island than ever return to this atrocity. Do yourself a favour and use Burger King.

It?s the same as when I first came here 3 years ago. The escalator is still out of order and the toilets need to be nuked and rebuilt. The big screen in the main area had a Vauxhall advert on loop and nothing else. Enough to drive you mad.

Two boneless box meals purchased from KFC today were so tough. Tasteless rubbery chicken the worst take away food I?ve ever eaten. AVOID KFC at all costs. Just terrible food.

My partner and I had been up to Birmingham to see a show, and missed breakfast at the Premier Inn as it was a late finish, so decided to stop here for a bite to eat on our way home. I decided to try "Good Breakfast", which looks like it's a small business that's taken over an old Fish & Chips spot in the food hall (between KFC & Burgr King and Subway). I almost walked away as first impressions aren't great, but, I'm pleased I did give it a try!! The fried egg was freshly made, so not rubbery, the sausage was decent quality (hardly restaurant quality but a few steps above greasy spoon!), the bacon was good, the tomato good, the hash brown was fluffy and crisp, and the fried bread... oh wow. Exceeded my expectations by miles!! Happy and accidental find. Will call again!!!!

Stopped here for breakfast. Asked for the trad breakfast but with out beans. Told there were no tomatoes. Asked whether the cost would be reduced as I couldn't have 2 items. Answer 'no but you can substitute other items' Me: I'll have black pudding and ........' You can't substitute that item, you can have hash brown or eggs only. I gave uo, we had a bacon roll which was terrible. Don't stop here

Rude, inconsiderate staff at night shift. Old food laying around on the ground. Had tons of waiting as no one was around at first as well. Maybe day time is better. Just drive to next one.

We stopped off at this service station as the one on the M5 at roadchef strensham is just appalling the McDonald's is a joke and was packed with foul mouthed football supports all f ing this and f ing that not what i want to hear at 7am so left and went to this one were is was lovely and quite had a very nice breakfast and cup of tea my hubby had a bacon sausage roll which he said was nice not to experience but at least it wasn't cheap nasty rubbish like to get from McDonald's

Just had a cappuccino at Starbucks. It was awful, really bitter. Surely their coffees should be of the same quality wherever you drink them. This was very substandard

For a large motorway services, the designated caravan parking area is disappointingly small, and the spaces in it are too narrow. Caravanners were arguing with eachother about not giving eachother enough room but the fact is the spaces are too small so no one has enough room. Avoid if you're towing a caravan or driving a motorhome.

Stopped off for a bite to eat. If you are coeliac. Bring your own. It will be easier Choice of one GF sandwich in Waitrose. Subway advertise gluten free but unsurprisingly had neither gluten free wraps or bread. Didn't offer any other options. The breakfast place was also a no on gluten free. Didn't even manage a smile here. All in all unimpressed. Good job we only wanted a snack and nothing more substantial
