I attended an eye test last year with boots and let's say i disliked the whole experience. The lady that conducted by eye test was judgemental, rude, treated me like a number, issued me with the wrong prescription and to top it off gave me a leaflet which read macular degeneration and told me I had it at the age of 28. Not once did she explain anything and ushered me out of the door ready for the next person to come in. Once I had left my eye test I wasn't given my prescription they assumed I was getting my glasses from them and became angry with me when I asked for my prescription, I told them that I couldn't afford the glasses just yet (to get them off my back I went on to pay £350 for my glasses and just had to pay out another £177 to rectify there mistake) to which the man replied 'well i hope you can afford your eye test'. I am extremely upset and angry by the whole experience and has took me a year to rectify their mistake. I have also had a further eye test with vision express who where extremely hopeful. I took my prescription and the leaflet the lady gave me from boots with me. The lady who conducted my eye test at vision express thoroughly checked the back of my eyes and concluded that I didn't have macular degeneration and that my eyes where pretty healthy. She has given me my new prescription, so after a year of struggling to see, suffering headaches and migraines hopefully it will now be sorted. I can safely say i will not be attending boots again for an eye test nor to get any glasses. If I could rate zero stars I would.
