Founded over 40 years ago in the middle of the 1970s, Zara is a clothing and accessories retailer that originally came to life in Spain. With their headquarters in Arteixo, they have now become one of the largest clothing accessories retailers in the industry with nearly 2,200 stores worldwide. For many, this expansion came as a surprise but they still maintain their 'zero advertising' policy even today. Instead, they prefer to invest in new stores and this has clearly been a successful strategy.
After making their way across Europe, they are also one of the rare brands to make the jump across to the US and also now have stores in Australia. Perhaps the very definition of 'global brand', Zara has won the hearts of many Brits and sees millions of visitors in their 68 stores across the UK every year!
