Absolute shambles I ordered 2 books for a birthday present they only had received one - they said the other one wasn't published until October 2023. Total incompetence as I went to Waterstones and bought it there. I'm still fighting for my refund as the member of staff at the store wasn't able to assist me and palmed me off to Customer Services. Totally unacceptable and incompetent Company will never give them my custom again. They need to learn their trade and upskill the staff on Customer Services

The Post Office in here is a disaster. They closed the self-service at 1pm today, which is a busy time with customers on their lunch break. No explanation, just told to queue. All i wanted was two stamps for overseas. The queue did not move and i gave up as i felt i might succumb to old age. It's always the same. The person from WH Smith to whom i complained was about as interested and effective as a chocolate fire guard

This is a fairly good WHSmith, and is a decent size for a town like Newbury. It's all on one floor and has a Post Office at the back, which is theoretically a very handy layout. It's a shame that one of the members of staff insists on making rude and unnecessary comments every time I go in there, so I usually just stay away from the Post Office section and do all my mailing at the post office on St John's Roundabout instead. It's not that much further to walk, and they don't treat transgender people like me as if we're some sort of freak show, which is always appreciated. ?If I'm only needing to visit the WHSmith part of the store, then it's all good though, and I love the large selection of books and maps. But I won't go near the Post Office in store here because it's honestly not worth the bother.

A massive thank you to the lovely young lady who was on the door lunchtime today 13th May. Fantastic service, she was super helpful & went out of her way to help my brother who has learning difficulties. An absolute credit to the store. Thank you

Traditional WHSmiths shop selling a good variety of hood quality stationary, sweets, soft drinks, kusic cds, newspapers and magazines and much more. This store in Newbury is now also the main post office. As the store is located in Northbrook Street which is now by day pedestrianised it is necessary to find parking in the surrounding area and finish the journey on foot.

Can now use WHSmith gift cards for Google play or iTunes cards. So much better than buying something you don't really want just to use up an xmass present!

If you want to know the 90s shopping experience was like WHSmiths is the shop for you. I have know idea how they've managed to keep going without changing a thing for 25 years. Madness.

They are now the main post office in Newbury. They have self-service machines for posting all sorts of items and members of staff who will help you because the machines are way too complicated!

Went in for a paper - no waiting time. Lady serving was very polite and proficient. Place seems claustrophobic and not very welcoming.

Visited WHS as the post office is now located at the rear of the store. Brilliant stock of stationery and books.

One of the best stationary establishments in town. I could barely detect any movement. Well done. Keep up the solid work.
