Bad experience with staff in returning an item.I had to return a click-and-collect order. Did everything according to the instructions given to me online through my M&S account, got a refund barcode, took that and my item to the returns & exchange till. The staff member handling the returns repeatedly told me she couldn't process the refund, all the while scanning the wrong code. She said her system wouldn't accept it because it was more than 30 days ago, but that could not have been possible because my return request had already been accepted! and I had created that return request on that very day, so I knew I was not past the return validity date. In fact, I had another week before that validity expired. In the end I took a look at the screen when she did finally scan the right barcode. Indeed it said I was due for a refund! I got a credit voucher instead, when I should have sent the money to the card I paid with. I understand that the staff member was probably performing her duties according to the policy she was familiar with, but she refused to listen to me when I clearly stated (and had proof!) that my refund request had already been accepted. I also understand that these systems are often confusing. All I ask is that one listens to customers, rather than insisting they are in the wrong.In hind sight I should have chosen the post-office returns as I could have avoided this mess.

I used the cafe and changing toilets today. Waited fifteen minutes to be served the tables were full of dishes no cutlery. We were told short staff. Only two of us today. I used the parent toilets both bins were overflowing with nappies. What?s happened to this store???

Bit expensive But the quality is excellent ?We have purchased dresses and toys from thereThe fur quality of the soft toys are superb and dress also.If you are looking for durability m&s is the best option for you BT the same product might be available in some other shops with lesser pounds Bt that won't last as m&s products.

Date you select for collection is not the date the item is available. Just missed the collection as the items arrived earlier then I was able to collect them (due to my holidays) and fell into the return and refund policy. All communication through SMS rather than indicated as email. Looks like incompetently implemented online shop functionality.Please ensure that date of collection and availability of the item starts at the same time.Please follow your own policy of sending emails rather than SMS regarding the order progress.Product quality closer to 3.5-4 stars, however big minus for the online experience.

Reasonable price. One of their Staff at the trial room had a rude attitude towards us. This is not to all staff as most of them were friendly.

The staff named Lalita is very rude, zero level of customer service.She was instead questioning me, instead of explaining what the customer doesn?t know. How can she work at the till with such level of customer service!!

So. M and S consider they have good customer service here.I beg to differ. Visited today and looked at buying almost £200 of mens clothes. Only to find.......... Yet another shop with self service tills only. And a horrendous queue to boot.Clothes back on the nearest rack and another shop off my list. I do not and will not be forced to use self service checkouts.Called in at Costco on the way out of Reading and bought just what I needed for half the price.Well done M and S.NOT!!I will not shop in any store that thinks it can force me to use self service tills.

Standards have dropped significantly here, tried to do a clothes shop, but there are now no longer any check out desks, just self service. Very tacky - how can you have good customer service if you force the customer to server themselves?So, just put the clothes down unbought and left to shop elsewhere - congrats, just lost a long time shopper

Was confronted with flies in the Home department and in restaurant. The building is old and may have rats somewhere which are attracting the flies. Not very hygienic particularly in eating area.

I love this M&S.The shop floor is clean and bright. Loads of clothes to choose from and it's all laid out well. The food shop is excellently stocked, and as a bonus the toilets are clean!

I like the selection of M&S compared to most stores but if you?re non-white and a POC, don?t bother. The staff will go out of their way to make sure you know you?re not their target audience. Even when I approached the manager to ask why I got followed throughout my shop, I was responded with ?they?re allowed to follow you and it?ll take a lot for them to follow someone, so you must have done something?.

Great Customer service from libby. Finding a specific product for me (it was not on the shelf). Very smily.Also m&s sell a large variety of health specific drinks and smoothies. I recommend
