I was greeted at reception by Natasha and wow, what a great member of staff. She was very polite and welcoming and had a great smile. The hotel is clean and tidy, the room is quite big and surprisingly quiet. Endless supplies of tea, coffee, and milk in the room and at reception. I will definitely stay here again.

Staff was helpful, my room look well clean. The unique negative is breakfast don?t spend your money on it just go to coffee shop next to hotel.

Spent 4 nights in this hotel, the bed was reasonably comfortable and the rooms were clean and warm, but did show some wear. Getting into Ely centre by foot means crossing a pedestrian unfriendly roundabout, but the walk doesn't take that long. Service staff very friendly and helpful. WiFi costs £3 a day, 2 devices max.Walkability: It is difficult to cross the nearby roundabout as there is no pelican crossing

We were watched in our room through the window by the older male receptionist, complete breach of privacy and all round weird considering I?m 18 years old and he knew that. We have now been charged £150 for supposedly smoking in the room although we vaped once and nowhere does it say vaping isn?t allowed, only smoking. Being watched through our window was disrespectful and very creepy. Well within my rights to report him and likely will.

Very clean rooms, even if they are a little tired nowadays. Great location, close to Ely and with a Starbucks close by for morning coffee. Well run with excellent staff.

The staff are really nice and very helpful. The location is very handy for Ely and for access to the local area. There's a BP petrol station with M&S food shop, a Starbucks and Burger King on the same site. The hotel itself is single storey and a typical Travelodge, the rooms basic but comfortable. It's petty in this day and age to be required to pay for WiFi access, but as most people have data packages now, I doubt many need to pay for it.

Stayed one night to attend a wedding close by. Lovely reception staff - very helpful. Looked like new carpeting in the communal areas - room as expected. Clean but basic. Great shower plus a bath which is a bonus. On the downside - bed wasn?t very comfy - a bit lumpy and one flat pillow meant a poor nights sleep. It also states a hairdryer in the room but this isn?t the case - we asked for one at reception which was fine but misleading for the website to say it?s in the room.Overall, it was fine but one night was enough.

New carpets being fitted throughout! Big improvement from recent reviews. Staff friendly and helpful. Good location for Ely visit. 'Accessible' room couldn't have been further from front door which is travelodge error on this and other sites.

Same as many travelodges, had carpets recently changed so had a fresh smell.Biggest issue was no outside lights to walk to the shop, and was very busy coming un and out the drive through.

Great place to stay. We were here for 3 nights with our cat and dog too.Nice pleasant room, quiet with friendly, approachable staff.Opposite is a fast-food outlet, a well known coffee establishment and a petrol station. One thing that we thought our room would benefit from is having plug sockets next to the bed.All in all, good, a bit pricey but that wouldn't deter us from staying again.

We can't speak highly enough of the wonderful Manager Emma, Sandra and the rest of the staff at Ely Travelodge, who made us very welcome and comfortable during the recent heatwave, allocating us a cooler north-facing room. Rooms are quiet, all at ground level, very comfortable bed, decent bathroom and dog friendly.Conveniently situated by the A10 with M&S Food, Starbucks and Burger King on site, and the beautiful city of Ely a very short drive away.
