“What a delight to stay at - we wanted something a little different to celebrate our mini moon and once I saw Harta Retreat, I booked immediately! Miranda was great with communication prior to our stay and the digital guidebook was very useful of local attractions, info about the tipis, etc. They have put a huge amount of effort into the design and furnishing the tipis - they really did have everything we needed for our stay! We even didn't mind that it was bad weather as we stayed in bed all day and enjoyed the tipi! The outdoor shower was my favourite and they even cooked up a home-made curry for us to enjoy! Highly recommended and we hope we will be back in the future. Thank you again.”

“We came for a meal and didn't stay. There were six of us for Sunday lunch, they offer a traditional roast, with either beef, lamb or chicken, they also offer a nut roast which my wife said was delicious. I had a mixed meat roast. All the ingredients were really good quality and the food was cooked to perfection. Although, it was busy, the staff were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Definitely well worth a visit.”

“A fantastic, remote place to stay if you like peace and quite. Set in the Heddon valley, truly a unique location with lots of beautiful coastal and country walks directly from the hotel. A must for walkers.”

“I've traversed,high and low, this being due to my circumstances, it being hard times!? , amazing guys it's worth the visit, and amazingly, Ilfracombe, Bideford,wollacombe, all of a north Devon..(coastal lines are all on a (' par ')with s.west of Wales, a Pembrokeshire!!! but on a smaller scale, and of course, not to forget,, of a south Wales the Gower, and a sweet, and (dreamy place) a Porthcawl. ..Nearby activities: Ilfracombe, Bideford, wollacombe. And the town a Barnstaple, town centre All, it is worth a frequent..,!!Safety: Close knit community, well done north Devon!!Walkability: Everything, from amenities, public transport all Easily, and accessed by pedestrianised routes could not fault this town at all ?!!! Great infrastructure )Noteworthy details: Ilfracombe, Bideford wollacombe got to see it to believe it”

“You get what you pay for. The staff are really friendly, for the price the food is okay. My only problem was both morning the room didn't have any hot water so had to have a cold shower (couldn't wait for the staff to sort out due to going to work)”
