Very friendly staff and always helpful. Breakfast was fairly quiet and as always, delicious. Excellent location - close to a retail park and a great location for the Beamish museum.

Stayed here for two nights room was as expected in a Premier Inn but our view from the room was a brick wall and the pub/restaurant closed at 9pm we arrived at 6pm so when we finally got checked in and showerd we didn't have much time to eat then couldn't relax and unwind in the bar with a bottle of wine as they were closing....sorry but if you have residents stopping then the bar/restaurant should stay open and there is no lift up to the upper floor in the hotel, will never stay here again, Bishop Auckland Premier Inn is far better would recommend anyone to stay there.

Having booked 2 nights for February, I needed to change my booking in a hurry. The website said no room, but on phoning the hotel directly (with phone charges involved), they had plenty of room. I think Premier Inn need to check their computer system as this could have led to them losing 2 nights B+B if I had decided not to bother phoning. On arrival, the staff could not have been more helpful from fitting us in and helping me get the heating going. We found that we needed an extra night, and this was sorted with little effort. I'm so grateful for all their help and have now booked to stay there again as I have a funeral to attend.

Clean and quiet, exactly as expected.Slightly tricky to navigate to if you're not familiar. Worth making sure you have exact location in the satnav, otherwise you'll end up in the Arnison Centre with no hope of escape. Not the best attitude from front desk on first interaction, but near faultless after that. Desk is not best designed, if someone is sat behind a monitor you will have no clue they are there.

Regular visitors to this Premier Inn but this time on arrival we're met by a rather gruff receptionist. Not a member of staff we've encountered before on our many stays and a little more etiquette would be beneficial after a journey of several hours.Otherwise, first time we've been located upstairs and noticed that there was no lift available? Could be mistaken but didn't see one or signs...Stay was enjoyable, other staff friendly and amiable and good location for Durham City, Arnison Centre retail park and road links. Brewers Fayre restaurant next door.Rooms: Double and single beds, tea/coffee making facilties, wall mounted TV, seperate bathroom. Not a lot of room for clothes hanging/storage if a family and fixed head shower with no hose attachment. Standard Premier Inn.Nearby activities: 10 minute drive from Durham City, A1M motorway and just off A167. Arnison Centre retail park directly behind and 2 minutes walk away if you know the shortcuts...Safety: Secure location.Walkability: Brewers Fayre next door and Arnison Centre as previously mentioned but car really needed for further travels.Food & drinks: Brewers Fayre situated next door with excellent quality food and drinks at reasonable prices.Noteworthy details: Pre-booking advised for both hotel and restaurant.

Excellent location, really easy to find despite the best efforts of the sat nav in my wife's car.Perfect as a base while we were visiting attractions in the area for a few days.Pub next door is a brewers fayre, offering great selection of different things to eat which is handy if you're away with the kids - or if you're not keen on that there's a whopping retail park just around the corner.Rooms were beautifully presented and spotless - a credit to the team. Premier Inn have got a bit tight with the coffee now though... Only two sachets? Luckily extra ones are available ?Love it, definitely go back.

Having stayed at a premier Inn in Torquay, I was slightly disappointed, the durham Premier Inn ditusted in the district if Pity me was looking a bit tired in terms of decor, the carpets were slightly shabby and the cooked breakfast was dried out. I have to say the staff erred friendly and polite, the bathroom was clean but dated and very basic but bevet yhe keys distress job, lots of hot water but a bit short on bath towels, all in all if you want a cheap bed for the night, security and a bar the prices are reasonable so go for it but don't expect 5 * luxury ?Rooms: The heating worked well, and the thermostat was easy to use and the room was very warm black out blinds were effective

Stayed Friday 6th til Monday 9th October visiting family, staff at the hotel were lovely especially Ulia she was very helpful a bit of a mix up with rooms that were booked, rooms were a bit dated but clean we had the full breakfast very nice the meals were priced reasonable, would stay again but would require a mobility adapted room bath too deep for me.

I stay here regularly when visiting my son. The staff are really friendly & helpful, the room has always been clean & the food good at a decent price, again the staff are kind & helpful, as a woman traveling on her own I always feel safe.

We stayed for three nights whilst visiting the local area attractions. The main reason for choosing a Premier Inn is the breakfast, which was amazing. Next is the comfortable rooms. There was no air con and even though it was only around 21° in the day and cooler at night, our room was like a furnace. we had to have the fan on all night on it?s top setting which disturbed our sleep and left us a tad grumpy. The bathroom remained damp and hot too.
