We went there for a funeral wake the room was just right and was lovely and had access to outside the food was lovely and the staff were polite and nice.

Went for an evening conference. Large conference room, nothing special and seats typical cheap wedding ones IE not comfortable for 2+ hours. Car parking just enough. Free coffee typical Nescafé from an urn. Well sited for road access off A12, but several miles from any railway station.

First time staying here. Was attending a charity gala night. Staff are all helpful and polite. Food on night was amazing [ Vegetarian mushroom Wellington was one of the best I've ever had).Breakfast was plentiful and hot!Overall, really pleased with this stay.Only marked down room as was near heating / air con ducts ( that was my view ) & they were fairly noisy sadly.(Avoid room 31).But will definitely be back!

Stopped here for breakfast on our way to holiday. Better than any services! Brilliant hotel breakfast, excellent service by Abbie and her lovely smile.£16.50 per head for the full monty; continental followed by cooked breakfast all the trimmings and drinks.Will come here again if we are this way.Thanks Abbie, the welcoming staff and chefs.

We had an enjoyable few days here recently. The hotel has very nice grounds but can get busy with events over the weekend leading to some noise at night. Our room was comfortable although very warm (it was during the heatwave) and we were provided with a fan which helped. Although we were facing the road there wasn't a lot of traffic noise. Housekeeping in the room could have ben better as there was rubbish under the desk table and the guest information booklet was covered in dust. Also when the room was serviced, neither the toilet rolls or the tea tray were replaced one day. The worst thing about this room was the awful, non existent water pressure. I'd be generous if I said it was a dribble! Having a shower was an ordeal and really shouldn't be in 2023. We didn't eat in the on site restaurant - the food sounded nice but the prices seemed a little steep. The breakfast, however, was excellent as were all the staff we encountered. I would stay here again but I'd ask for a room with a shower that worked next time!
