I recently visited a Pret A Manger location at an Stansted international airport and was left thoroughly disappointed by the service. My order consisted of tea, coffee, and a salad. Unfortunately, the interaction with the staff member was far from pleasant. Upon requesting to swap the classic English tea for a tropical variant, the employee responded rudely, lecturing me on how in England, tea is traditionally consumed with milk and is black. This unsolicited advice was not only unnecessary but also unhelpful, as I was not informed about the available tea options nor given time to peruse them myself. Being in an international airport, I found it peculiar and quite inappropriate for the staff to impose such traditions and to communicate with customers in such an uncouth manner.

Awful hot drinks. They have changed their machines to instant machines - no grinding of coffee beans in sight (and they are still charging significantly more than a high street store!)

Pretty in the airport lounge, the service is okay, very busy. Hot food and sandwiches are great and tasty.Coffee was not great. Prices can be seen very differently for standard and club card.

Today, I bought a sandwich (good) and a horrible coffee with milk, I swipe the card and the girl tells me that it doesn't work, okay, I pay her 8 pounds in cash and I leave. The surprise comes when I arrive in Lanzarote and I see that I They charged 2 times by card plus cash, 24 pounds for a sandwich and coffee with milk

I have used the Pret at Stansted Airport for many years and have always enjoyed the quality and range of produce and the friendly service. On this occasion (18 December 2023) it could not have been more different The range of sandwiches and fillings was much reduced and the staff (certainly the staff member who served me) seemed surly, rude and uninterested. When my (otherwise silent) server broke off from totalling my order on their till for a lengthy chat with a colleague, I simply gave up and went to Cafe Nero. They welcomed me as a customer and were fast, efficient and friendly.

PLEASE LOOK HOW MUCH THEY CHARGE AND WHAT YOU GET ?? They advert a Carmel latte which looks amazing on picture - with cream etc but I got a simple coffee latte. The lady didn?t asked me or explain that the price £4.25 is for club card members - just charged me £4.60 when I resigned she charged me £ 4.25 and gave it to me later a simple coffee latte which I should pay only £3.90. Very poor service.

Dirty and chaotic- all the tables and floor littered with trash and when you tell the staff they just tell you they know but the manager won?t hire anyone else to clean. I?m a big pret fan (the three stars are for the food etc) but this is an embarrassment.

I rarely feel the need to write a poor review but I just had an awful experience in here with a staff member. It started off badly when she rolled her eyes when I ordered my drink (nothing fancy just a filter coffee with hot oat milk). And then when I simply asked if the price was ?eat in? she proceeded to rant at me about how she wouldn?t dare charge me extra and got really rude and indignant. I had been happy and smiling throughout the whole interaction.As someone who works as in hospitality and serves customers and coffee I know how hard it can be and how horrible it can be with a difficult customer. But I would never talk to a customer the way she spoke to me when I had been nothing but pleasant. You can excuse a bad day only so much, and now this interaction has really affected my day negatively.
