“Visited for afternoon tea on a quiet Monday lunchtime. Extremely friendly smiling hostess welcomed us in and gave us a choice of seats. The service was professional and attentive but discreet. Our waiter explained each part of the afternoon tea from the amuse bouche to the tasty sandwiches to the delicious scones. Not forgetting the cakes of course. The coffee was wonderful and unlimited. We were offered extra helpings of everything though servings were so generous we struggled to finish it all. It is pricey, as afternoon teas invariably are, but we couldn't have asked for more.”

Long story short, on the train journey home the gift was stolen. I went back to the store that same day, explained what had happened, they waived the monogramming fee again and also gave me 20% off the price of the gift. “This is a small store right next to the Covent Garden station. Customer service can be better. Some of the variety was good and they had enough sizes of the rings stocked. We bought three matching ones. There is a big publicity about the ongoing sale but there is barely anything available on sale. It’s just a tiny section to your left just as you enter. I think they went overboard with the signage and it’s misleading.”
