What is the point of a bank when you cannot even pay a cheque in anymore ? Just make you go back outside and stand in the rain to do it myself at the ATM ?May as well close them all down if it's now self service as just waste people's time walking there to assume it would do basic banking services just to be turned awayAlso the app didn't work either on the cheque and just says will take a photo automatically but never does and Barclays just suggest I go to post office? I Just went on hsbc instead and their app worked fine

This isn't a bank branch in the traditional sense. It's a completely different beast, more like tech support than anything. Staff are lovely and a great help. However, it's definitely aimed more at people who are comfortable with a new and different way of doing things. No cash services at all.

Used the podcast studio here.Great facilities. Unfortunately, drilling and building works as well as piped-in music kept interrupting the recording.

Submitted my account opening application online and they needed me to visit in person with my documents. However, they provide no appointment for MONTHS, and do not accept walk ins either. The only way i could open an account with barclays was to visit a branch in a different city 2 hours away. I've never seen a bank that claims to be so busy they don't have any appointments for months yet have no problems advertising that they accept new account applications. If they cannot give me an appointment to open an account, i doubt they'd be capable to manage customer's finances especially if the customer needs an appointment in case of a problem. One of the document needed for account was HMRC letter. Being new to country i asked the staff how to get the letter and her response was 'i don't know everyone just has it'

It is a shame because they provide services but the amount of customers triple at least the staff available to attend, so this makes people feel frustrated as they cannot be attended. I had to cone three times in two weeks to get information about mortgage and I haven't got it yet. I don't like online or over the phone customer services for these matters so that's why I decided to a physical branch.

Big thanks to Oke for talking me through my options to pay off a large sum of money. Very helpful.

I was scammed yesterday and some of the money taken was from my Barclays saving account. This is a devastating blow. When I went into the Market Street Manchester branch I was very very upset but a kind and knowledgeable member of staff called Oke ( originally from London) spent a lot of time with me and supported me through the whole awful process including the lengthy conversation I had on the phone with the fraud team which he personally arranged . He is a credit to the bank and I am writing this as I would like him to get the recognition he deserves.

Cashless bank branch, with two cash machines to pay in and withdraw outside. Most of the time one of the machines does not work for the cash function causing big queues outside while the staff inside seem to just watch unable to do anything ? thanks Barclays

My father sadly passed away in November 2022. Prior to his death he discovered his house was not registered so paid a solicitor to release his deeds from Barclays. When he passed away we discovered Barclays never responded to the request so a further request was made from the solicitor. Nothing from Barclays. Since the house has been under offer from February 2023 I have spent approximately 40 hours on the phone trying to access the deeds. I have been into a local branch twice. I have uploaded probate death certificates online twice and posted all the documents twice. My deceased father then receives a letter asking him to sign for the deeds much to my distress. I could not be helped by the bereavement team as my dad did not have an account they only held his deeds. I made a complaint which was to be addressed by April, then May. I was eventually provided a timescale of 40 days for Barclays to release the deeds to me. I was promised a call on the 16 June to confirm all had gone ahead. On the 9 June I received a letter to say the deeds had been released and we should have them. Panicking I contacted Barclays again and after speaking with 3 different staff members the third one was able to tell me they had been released from secure storage and on way to Manchester. I said I would wait for my call as promised on the 16th to see where they had got too. I was going on holiday that day but kept my phone with me but no Suprise - no call. This spoilt my weekend away. I called again on my return only to be told I would be allocated a new complaints worker who would contact me within two days. Well guess what - nothing. I called again yesterday where the worker told me there is a note to say they are still within the 40 days. I asked can people read the file correctly as if we look at when my dad requested these we are now talking about one year. The bank is an absolute joke and how can they not tell me where the deeds are and why is it taking so long. I have not only lost my father but I have not been able to grieve his death properly due to the mental stress and anxiety I have been placed under by Barclays. I have kept the buyer for the home updated however I now feel as if I am fobbing her off due to the incompetence of this so called bank. I am so pleased I do not bank with them and now feel putting on a review is my last resort to getting this resolved.

In addition to excellent Barclays public Wi-FiThis branch has two external depositing machines for paying in cash and cheques 24/7 the only Barclays of this kind in the area with round-the-clock deposit service, so this branch is a must! ??

I'd give it a minus if I could. Ridiculous waiting times and extremely limited service.

I find the existence of this bank to be absolutely pointless.I drove 6 miles into town to cash-in a cheque, as the Barclays app can only cash cheques below £1000, only to find that there are no bank teller's or counters at this bank (so, what on Earth is the point of the bank even being there!?).I was advised to use the ATM outside, something I was unable to do, as my card was digital. The whole journey and visit was a waste of my time. If you're planning on visiting here to do your banking, don't bother.

Rude staff and unqualified. Tried to scare me about my online banking being suspended, but when called online costumer service they were able to assist me without trouble and even advised me not to go back to this branch.
