Booked as a birthday night away with my girlfriend. Hotel itself and the bar area was nice but didn't find staff overly friendly. Room was adequate but was a bit rough round the edges (scratched desk, dodgy tiling, marked walls)

The Malmaison used to be one of my favourite places to go in Manchester sadly it now seems to have lost its way since being sold a few years back . The bar is generally lively but the once excellent restaurant is at best average and the service is poor . My wife went with her girlfriends and they bought a bottle of champagne... read full comment
