“I had been told 2 weeks ago by a Mercedes dealership that my break pads were 95% and 90% worn and was quoted £1200 to fix….I brought the car home and took it to Kwik Fit Basingstoke. They called me that afternoon to say my brakes were no where near that work in fact on 60%. They were so honest and helpful. As a woman I know very little and like many put my trust in the experts. Well clearly Mercedes are NOT the experts and just lie. These guys didn’t even charge me and I honestly cannot recommend this garage enough for their honesty and good will!”

“I don't normally leave reviews for shops, but just been to Halfords for 2 bikes to have a free check. There was only one member of staff in the bike department (Bailey) who had to deal with multiple customers at the same time as doing our checks and also fitting a new chain to each bike for us, but although swamped, he remained very calm and made each customer fell valued displaying a very professional attitude. “The process of booking a service and having the work done is smooth. The surprise is having a fixed price for a major service which is very high already, then finding out on the day that items which are due in the service schedule are not included in the fixed price, these are 'additional extras' like changing the brake fluid. That is not cheap either. We were not advised of this cost when I booked the service, I feel slightly mis-sold by VW.I'm probably not going to take my car back to VW but find a good local VW specialist garage instead.”
