“Whilst I am not a customer of Halifax Bitterne myself, my grandmother (she's 91 you know!) is. Recently she was visiting the Halifax and accidentally left her bag containing her keys, purse, phone and contact numbers on the bus. She was very upset and arrived at the branch needing help. Nicky and the team were excellent, they stayed with her throughout and even went as far as to drive her home, arrange a locksmith, and wait with her until she was able to safely enter the house. The whole experience could have been dreadful, however the team at Halifax really showed just how wonderful people can be. Thank you so much.”
“Visiting the Co-Operative bank - Southampton branch - always a positive experience. At a time when other banks are forcing customers to use online banking, banking Apps on mobiles, then warning us about the prolific fraud and scams on these systems; always a pleasure to be served by human beings at branch, dealing with financial transactions. “I have been with Lloyds Bank for 64 years so annoyed when Woolston Branch closed at 88 I do not get to Bitterne often but have found most of the staff friendly and helpful. My only problem is that the phone number I was given does not work so I cannot speak to anyone in person.”

The only reason I'm not rating this as 5 stars is due to the limited opening hours - since the Santander branches in Shirley and on Highfield campus closed down, this is the only one in the city and the hours are pretty awful if you have a busy day (no fault of the employees, mind you!).”
