We had a lovely lunch there today. Food was very tasty. Service was good. Dog friendly. Could not fault anything.

Stopped on a whim for a spot of lunch, so glad we did!A wonderful little pub, dog friendly, lovely locals and staff that made you feel really welcome.Food wise we had scampi and a ploughman's followed by sticky toffee pud and a salted caramel cheesecake - can't fault anything we ate it was all 10/10 and the prices very reasonable.Never been here before but will certainly be going back.

A lovely country pub with comfy sofas and a roaring fire. We popped in for a beer after a long walk and liked it so much that we came back later for dinner - which was delicious, and clearly home-made. Friendly staff and friendly locals, and dog friendly too.

Was passing through on Saturday and so glad we were. We?ve never been here before but the pub had an instant welcoming feel. We were greeted by the waiter who showed us to the table. Bar staff were super friendly and welcoming too. Open fire was crackling away and we were given menus promptly. Two young lads, who we later found out are brothers, were serving tables. The owner was chatting to tables and made us feel so welcomed. I had the Camembert and lamb shank and it was delicious. My kids loved building their own burger and the hubby had the haddock which he said was amazing. Will definitely return.

Met family for a Sunday roast here, it was absolutely delicious. It tasted just like a home made roast. Staff were very warm and welcoming and the atmosphere was great. We would definitely go again for a Sunday roast

Well what I can I say from the moment you walk in your get a warm welcome. Cosy village pub with lovely atmosphere. Lovely open log fire.. I eat here with my family . Plenty of choice of food, food arrived and it was lovely home cooked proper fresh food? amazing and puddings just as nice and all home made. Will definitely be back again. Lovely village pub..

What a little gem! The food was incredible, the atmosphere was lovely, staff cannot be friendlier, the fire is so cosy, honestly can't wait to go back, the whole menu looked delicious, and at such reasonable prices for the superb homemade quality and taste!!Thank you for a lovely evening black horse, see you soon!

Just popped in for some food as we are staying at the campsite opposite, on route to France......what an absolute find, and only a five minute walk. The food and service was beyond excellent. Would certainly recommend.

Very much a last minute trip to Kent for new year, and what a night it was here. The staff were amazing, landlady was absolutely superb, food was outstanding and so were all the people there. Couldn?t fault it in any way.? Happy new year!

It?s been a couple of years since we was last here and was recently told it was under new management. We thought we would give it another try while we was away at the caravan park almost opposite. What a warm friendly welcome we got from the landlady and staff. We ate here and went to the NYE party. We had such a great time and we felt like it was our local. We will be back more often now. Food was good ?

Everyone was friendly (stay and customers alike).They were so good with the dogs (staff and customers too) and we had a great time.The roast beef was melt in the mouth, a lovely surprise.

Had a lovely evening. Food was amazing. The squirrel pate starter was particularly delicious, highly recommended. Portions were very generous. Will be back soon.
