“Very helpful staff. Would love for the place to be bigger and have a cafe but that is not in the staff's control and like in many Waterstones, the bookshop has resided in this beautiful, historical for a very long time. They have a great selection of books for the size, and as ever, it's a quiet haven for curious minds!”

“Great selection of books, music, home decoration, and a small collection of sweatshirts and hoodies. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good prices. A great layout. Easy to access all areas. Also, sell some jewellery and rootbeer. For anyone looking for LDS church books this is the place. Can also order online and collect. A great website.”

“Great choice of products, could spend hours in this Aladdin’s Cave! This time it was just a quick last minute purchase and, what made my trip memorable was the wonderful young girl that helped me find exactly what I was looking for. She showed genuine interest, which is rare in stores these days. Unfortunately I don’t know her name but it was 13 Jan 2022 at 16:21. So you’ll know who she is.Also her colleague on the till(Sian) was very friendly and polite. A credit to your company!”

“During Xmas shopping, my 2yo was proving a little difficult. The amazing supervisor, Anna, offered to take her off my hands for a few moments so I could finish my Xmas shopping, an act that was truly touching. A store isn’t anything without its staff and having people like Anna working there has just reaffirmed that there are fantastic people out there. Thank you Anna!”

“I love this shop its fabulous for books cds & dvds. The only problem recently is that some of the cds are way overpriced and classed as rare when they are not, you can get them cheaper from ebay. Other than that it is the best secondhand bookshop in Preston ?”

“This is a small independent shop in Chorley town centre and is a treasure trove, they definitely don’t charge to have a look around. The other reviewer is obviously getting mixed up with some sort of centre because they mention traders.”

“I would highly recommend working for BHF at their shop on Orchard Street, Preston. There is excellent high quality training. The manager, staff and all the volunteers are very friendly and approachable. Nothing is too much trouble and everyone works well as a team.”

“I would love it if WH Smith spent some money on their stores; they all seem so dimly lit and outdated. On the up side... the staff here are great; very helpful and always pleasant.”
