Decent place, the pricing needs some work, not very competitive, some items can be bought for cheaper on sale brand new than the offer in store. Also some staff are very good and professional, others leave to be desired.

Something odd is going on here!!!!I took my A53 to get checked out for a trade in. They mentioned tiny scratches near the charger port. However remarked on how the screen was in fantastic condition. Had the original box, charger and all the bits. They classed it as a grade C.Out of curiosity I asked to see the grade B white Samsung S22 Ultra. HUGE scratch on the screen. Looked like a crater. Was advertised as a grade B.I see what they're doing. Buying items for grades D and C and trying to pass them off as a grade higher. Very cheeky!I am certain if I had sold my phone to them, it would of been on the shelf as a grade A.Be warned when dealing with these guys!

Worst cex I have ever been in to. Waited in a queue for half a hour while staff chatting and not serving customers. When asked if a queue of people are going to be served a member of staff was very rude saying they are busy. The message back reply is nothing like what I witnessed and went through. The staff member I spoke to was very rude and abrupt at me. Staff where dancing behind the counter and stood around the shop just talking to each other. I had a handful of items I wished to buy given the store a good amount of money but due to my experience and other customers we left the story. I will not use that cex ever again.

Absolute joke. Take my Xbox in to sell and they take it away to assess. Then say that the Xbox controller doesn?t work and I would need to either bring another one in or lose loads of money. They then say the second one doesn?t work. I take the Xbox and remotes back and open the box to see the cables / remote box has been RIPPED open and is now damaged. Turn the Xbox on and connect the remote and my RB button was pushed in so hard it was jammed. Manage to get it out and the Xbox remote is absolutely fine. No ?Stick Drag? like they were claiming and now I have an Xbox with a ripped open and damaged box from there incompetence to respect other people?s property and just open things how there meant to be opened? Instead of ripping the end off? Absolute joke. Really disappointed.

I was taking photos of the prices so that I could check at home if the deals were any good, and I could hear the staff discuss if they should kick me out behind my back. Absolutely no respect. If you don't want people doing their research to see how badly they are getting ripped off, how about put a sign up. And atleast talk about that somewhere private, not behind my back. Also there were no great deals. Stuff like used PS5's for practically the price of new ones, and headphones in pretty bad condition for £10 when bought new it's £20.

Bought and iPad 3 gen as my son wanted it to play Roblox with his younger brother. The guy behind the counter said this would be fine but when we got it home it wasn't compatible. Took it back the next day and they offered me a voucher for the value but I had to wait 20 mins while they tested it. Avoid

I visited CEX this morning to sell a Samsung camera which was fully functional and in excellent condition, but that I didn?t use anymore due to using my iPhone camera for most pictures.The man who served me (not sure of his name - tall with longish brown hair) was quite rough in opening the section containing the battery and SD card and immediately said to me, ?We can?t accept this as this slot is broken.? I was really surprised as it had been in immaculate condition that morning. I looked closer to where he was playing about with the clasp, and as I watched, a small piece of plastic pinged off and he even picked this up to get rid of it. I pointed out that the camera had been in perfect condition and that the plastic had genuinely broken at the second he had opened the camera, literally in front of our eyes! The man was really blunt and just said, ?No. It didn?t just happen.?, even though he had clearly just broken my item by handling it too roughly. Instead, he essentially implied that I was responsible for the damage / that my item was broken all along and I was basically trying to get money for it anyway???He was so rude in his demeanour that it actually left me a bit flustered and I didn?t know what to do from there, so I just left! I am now left with a broken item which I doubt I?ll be able to resell, which is extremely frustrating. It was honestly a terrible experience and such poor customer service from this employee. I would suggest anyone looking to sell valuable items takes their possessions elsewhere, or uses an online alternative - definitely avoid!

Been coming here for years, as have my family. Always a good selection overall, but it is a shame that the Xbox section seems to be a lot smaller than the PlayStation section.I love the trade in for credit system, which is great for getting rid of old and unused games/technology.The only thing I'm taking a star away for, is that one of the games had a very small scratch on the disc, which was then refused by the cashier. I understand why, but the game works perfectly, and I've received discs from CEX before in much worse condition, especially when I've bought that for their full asking price.Just be aware of that when you shop second hand, and that your goods are expected to be in tip-top condition.Other than that, 4/5 stars, I do like this company quite a lot and will come back ?

Don't shop here. Bought a galaxy watch. It stopped working after a couple weeks. Took it back and they said they could not find a fault not that they employ experts. Got home would not come on or change. Same thing definite fault. Avoid this company. Pepole sell stuff to them for a reason. It is stolen or faulty. Total waste of time.

I came to CEX to trade in a PS4 And it was in good working condition but i didnt have the original controller and had a wired one and they offered me £25 for them to sell again over £100.

Service is usually good but recently had some issues, tried to sell a phone with them and they said I couldn?t sell it to them cos I was under 18 which was understandable because of the IMEI. I went in today and apparently now you can?t sell anything to them if you?re under 18, I?ve had no problem selling there before but apparently it?s now an issue
