“This is my 'local' shop and it certainly kept us going during lockdown and ever since. I do a good-sized shop there several times every week.It's not as large as some supermarkets, but it stocks a wide range of goods, and while the prices of some things are higher than at other places, many items are lower ...so it evens out. They carry organic milk (always fresh) and a good range of other products as well.The store is clean, fresh, felt VERY safe to visit during lockdown, and their staff are fantastic—approachable, helpful, and know their products. What's more, this store seems to keep their staff, at a range of ages, for a long long time—sign of a good employer. The staff are very quick to respond to a queue buildup, and their checkouts move really well. I have no complaints, and am so grateful that they are in walking distance of our home.Thank you all for your excellent service over the years.”

“Visited here as I was working up in Glasgow. It was so cold outside side my windscreen wiper bottle had froze solid as it was - 14. The server inside the garage kindly offered me a jug of warm water to assist me. Thank you very much.”

“Visited mcolls Almada st many times to pay gas and electric the P,O counter is a great ideaAs most P.O shut at 5 pm but the counter is open til 8.I always find the staff helpful haven't had any issues I don't understand the previous comment about illeterate staffI've never had that problemHappy new year to everyone at mcolls ..j.”

“Much improved since rebranding from RS McColl. Better availability all around and better choice. At least now the Cold chain areas of the shop work and you can shop them. Range in this area I.e. cold chain could be improved. Focus is strongly on convenience but focus is too much on small format convenience whereas store is large enough to carry much more of a range in the fridges and offer a better selection for their customer instead of lots of space dedicated to soft drinks. Co-ops do this very well and if memory serves me well this shop actually used to be one a lifetime ago. Layout of products and customer journey could be reviewed as well as it took me a while to find the bread section and also the apples which live separately from the rest of the chilled produce alongside bananas etc. All in all though it is a good shop with amazing staff and the service was excellent.”

“This little tesco is a great place, 99% of the staff are very lovely and helpful, genuinely nothing is a bother. I go in several times a day 4 coffee and if the machine is down they will always make sure I still get my coffee, absolutely lovely bunch.”
