Today I used this branch for the very first time. The staff by the main entrance were lovely and welcoming, and the young man at the teller desk who helped me with a detailed cash withdrawal could not have been more helpful. Excellent staff training excellent customer service and definitely deserves 5stars Keep up the good work all of you!! ??

Lovely friendly girls behind the counter... but the bank is going to the dogs with no manager there. In the good old days we had a manager in suite that knew all the local businesses.... now you need to phone and chat to someone that has no idea who you are, and if you're lucky you'll get British person in the UK. if you're lucky

I have just queued for 40 minutes and that is normal for this branch. For a branch of this size to only have two tellers is beyond a joke. Please, there is plenty of room, put another desk in.

If I could have given no starts for this review, I would have. Very uncomfortable experience in the royal bank. Waited a bit longer with a toddler whilst the manager chatted to her friend at the counter about Massey Ferguson tractors and the good old days. On that specific day, there were balloons and stuff promoting the NSPCC, while this is a good cause, it distracted my toddler, this in turn, distracted me. I find the automatic door at the front a nightmare while waiting to be seen with a child. This bank is on a main road, I understand if somebody needs assistance it's helpful but a buzzer system would also be advantageous for this. The other door round the side was also open, another escape route for a fed up toddler, onto a road.However on getting to the counter once all the chit chat was done, there was no friendly welcome for me, I don't no about tractors to be fair. I couldn't carry out my request, not the banks fault but the time spent wondering what exit my toddler was going to choose was distracting enough without the terrible attitude of the teller/manager.I will never be in the bank again, it's a huge waste of space, I think they've forgotten how to be nice to folk and what customer service is.

Not enough staff behind the desk serving customers...too many hanging about trying to get you to use the self-serve cash machines that dont work half the time.... Just get behind the desk and serve customers the traditional way !

Not very friendly atmosphere and takes far too long, much better service and friendlier staff in the smaller branches e.g. Cumnock. Atmosphere feels awkward. Loyal customer for a long time but due to recent experience has left me very disappointed and angry with service and "explanation" given.
