Excellent service!!! 10/10 staff very helpful fitting out a road bike for my daughter. Took their time explaining each aspect for a proper fit for her. Gave us a great trade in price on our 3 year old mtb. Made all the adjustments to perfectly fit the bike for my daughter. Great team will be doing all my future bike purchases there.

Been coming to this shop for years to get my bike repaired, came in recently and will never be coming back again the absolute rudeness from a member of staff, customer service was shocking made to feel very unwelcome I must say it wasn't the owner he's a nice chap but from now on I will take my service elsewhere.

Went in there on bank holiday weekend, with a pram tyre that needed to be repaired, was fixed within two minutes, friendly staff and very helpful will definitely use them again and recommend

Been a few years since I shopped here but still thought worth sharing my experience. Really prompted by having a much better experience from Elmy in town. I bought 4 bikes for my family from Ranelagh and found the experience to be somewhat indifferent. Having been happy to leave the shop with four bikes, my son?s bike had a fully deflated tire a few hundred yards down the road. We went back and they fitter a new inner tube and we went on our way. They made very clear that this was definitely fine when it left their shop and we thought ?ok, at least they sorted it? but I could help but feel like the attitude towards us was a little ?off? for want of a better word. On the second outing on my bike I noticed that in certain gears the chain would make an awful noise. I went back to ranelagh and they told me ?they are just like that?. I said I wasn?t happy with it and they fixed it, without charge, but again, it was very clear that I was an unwelcome customer at this point. I don?t think the service that I received from Ranelagh was bad. In terms of value and sorting problems it was actually fine in the end. But I still came away feeling like I?d be unwelcome in the future. Felt as if they were relieved to see the back of me. It actually upset my missus. Anyway, time came this month to update our stock because our children have all got bigger and we went to Elmy instead and had a much nicer time (also spent more money!)

Got a bike from here in January. Had a couple of issues with the bike and they happily fixed them for me for free. They only charged me for brake pads that id worn down and gave me advise on how to look after my bike better going forward which I found very helpful.

Really horrible experience. rude, arrogant and very reluctant to actually help. My advice would be to avoid there are far better bike shops in town that would be happy to help.

Very unhelpful, and miserable. Went in for brake fluid and asked the gentlemen for some and he went ?and?? I said I need to bleed my brakes so I need some brake fluid. His response ?there?s two types you need to know what one!? In a stern tone. Needless to say I walked out and didn?t purchase anything and will not bother to return. I?d rather pay more from Halfords than return to him. Shame as I?d much rather support a smaller local business.

Unfortunately I found the staff rude and unhelpful. I went to this business first as it is an independent and I wanted to support them.I was told bluntly that they could offer no advice unless I was buying a bike from them- that was their opening response to my initial request for help.I also noticed most bikes had no price displayed on them which was not reassuring.After picking up a couple of spares I needed, I left and ended up purchasing a bike that day from another store on the other side of town.Sad and off-putting and they lost a customer; not what I was expecting from a well established independent retailer.
