Attended for a contact lens consultation and was told I would hear back to go in to try them out. Rung me back once on a broken line so couldn?t hear, said they would call back and never bothered. Now been almost a month, lost a customer and certainly wouldn?t recommend.

I couldn't fault my experience at the Gateshead branch. The staff were super helpful & caring. I'm currently having treatment for cancer & while making my appointment the receptionist said she would make a note asking the optician & other staff to wear a mask. The optician & member of staff who helped me choose my glasses were extremely kind & patient in helping me choose. The shop was spotlessly clean. I would recommend the Gateshead branch to friends & family .

I visited the Metrocentre store this afternoon and was served by Shanice, who helped me choose a new pair of glasses. I was delighted with the service I received. Shanice was extremely helpful, patient and considerate. A credit to the store.

Eye test today. While I waited to be called in I browsed the frames. Many thanks to Max who came over and told me of the special offer of 2 years interest free with free eye test and loss/damage insurance included. Many thanks. An asset to the branch ??Came back to the store tonight, 17/5/23 to collect my glasses. After noticing a slight problem with the lens?, Kate couldn?t be more helpful. Organising for the problem to be rectified, and for more suitable lens? to be fitted to my frames - using her fancy new gadget and iPad combination?. FIRST CLASS service once again. I really couldn?t be happier with the service provided. Also, just as a side note. Poor Laura deserves a medal! ?

Called in tonight 18/5/23 with my husband to order some sunglasses. After going through all of the options available to him, including various payment methods and discounts that were available, he didn?t end up getting any. However, the service that he received from Laura and Shanice was second to none! They could not have done anything more for him! From start to finish they were polite and accommodating? unfortunately he (my husband) is very fickle, and fussy! So, after apologising for wasting their time, he was once again reassured that it had indeed NOT been a waste of time, and that in future if he was to change his mind, (yet again) that they would be more than happy to help? once again, many thanks ladies, you were absolute stars!!! Thank you!

Having had cataract surgery on both eyes this year, I was starting from scratch with glasses. Worn them daily for many many decades. Still in varifocals but was so lucky that Sue, at the Metrocentre store, was able to give me so much time and help. I can't thank her enough for the fabulous customer service I had both on chosing and fitting, when I collected them a week later. Thank you again Sue.

The optician was thorough whilst being attentive and listening to all my responses. I then saw Liam who helped me choose some frames. Sounds simple, but my first comment to him was 'I don't suit glasses' so he had his work cut out! What a star he was, I cannot praise him enough for his patience and ability to put me at my ease. Thank you, Liam.

Hi, I booked an appointment for a recheck recently and they couldn't find my reports from September 2022. It was a waste of my time as they only could find records from 2021 eye test. They have asked me to to bring in the prescription for my glasses from 2022 so they can upload it onto their system. I was very disappointed as I have been registered with them for more than 10 years abd didn't expect this.

absolute joke not only have they lost 1 pair but now 2 pairs of my daughters glasses handed a pair in back end of January waiting over 2 weeks when i contacted they said nothing on record had to get a pair ordered went in on 12th feb to getthem fitted and sized up then rung today 22nd of feb to be told lost in transit tech haven't received them so now have to order another pair all while my daughters eyes will probably be getting worse with not wearing them at home as she leaves other pair at school totally incompetent staff

Bad service.booked an eye test, an early appointment at 10.15, turned up early and waited.Tons of staff standng around.A woman sat next to me and pointed out her appointment for an eye test was also 10.15.One optician but two people booked at the same time??I waited a futher ten minutes after she had her test done and then Ieft.They phoned 20mins later.Rubbish quality service, rubbish prices.Dont give them your money.I had a better experience at specsavers today, puts vision express to shame.

My son was seen by Iqrah Ahmed and I just want to say how absolutely amazing she was with him. Her style just put him totally at ease. He was a little nervous to start but this just melted away. She was absolutely brilliant, highly recommend!

Spent over an hour in the store. Had my eye test which was quick and smooth. Then required safety glasses for work. Gave the staff member the paperwork from my employer. But the only frames they didn't have were the ones my safety department has authorised (typical) I now have to go back to the medical centre at work and ask them to authorise the frames they do have in store. Not my best experience of Vision Express.

Staff wasn?t very helpful. Sat waiting ages and two staff members were just speaking to themself while we were waiting. Optician was lovely. One staff member who was at the desk was a lovely woman.
