“This was my first visit to a HSBC branch in a long time. The reception staff was courteous and ushered me to take a seat. Ms. Margaret Buchanan, Universal Banker, introduced herself to assist me. I was travelling out of London in next 24 hours and had to get many things done.I have to compliment Margaret as a 5 star professional, who impressed me with her customer focus and solution oriented service. She sorted out all my queries, some of them complicated, with a calm demeanour and a reassuring sense of expertise.She accomplished a lot in a short time and definitely saved me further visits to the Branch. Those incredible 360 views you get, with uninterrupted, floor to ceiling windows, are as premium as you'd expect for such organisation. “I walked into Cannon Street branch knowing it dealt with mortgages but needing to sort a problem out regarding a payment that I hadn't been able to find. I was quite stressed and knew that they didn't have to help me as it wasn't a mortgage query.The first assistant told me they couldn't help me and I would need to go to another branch. I asked to see the manager. When the manager (whose name is Snow) came out of her office, I immediately felt at ease. She gave me a warm genuine smile and asked how she could help.We sat down and she patiently and willingly went beyond my expectations and got to the bottom of it all. It must have taken over an hour easily and it was coming up to closing time, but she reassured me all the way through that it was no bother and she was determined to sort it all out. It actually was closing time and she didn't even try to rush me out the door, but continued with her friendly patient manner finishing off what she was doing for me.Sadly she is leaving that branch in a week or so.If there was a manager of the year award, Snow would win it without a doubt! I wish her well in her new job, they are lucky to get her!”

“Really nice place and people. Yes it is challenging and there can be issues with systems and processes but senior managers here really do look out for their employees. Real collaborative environment here and lots of opportunities to build new skills everyday. Truly the benchmark of how a global organisation should function and attract and motivate its employees.Fabulous and modern office truly will have all the state of art facilities here.They are not stingy when it comes to cups/mugs etc unlike other places in the vicinity.”

“Best to arrive early to exchange your old banknotes. Even though they don't start serving you until 9am security will allow you inside to queue up around 8am. They are very organised with their queueing system.”

“I was a bit nervous about going to this metro bank as people were saying the staff were not great HOWEVER I had an AMAZING experience.The man I spoke to was really kind and got me what I needed within literally less than 5 minutes. And even went the extra mile and got me an envelope.I don’t understand the negative feedback in the reviews, the place was clean, service fast and efficient and as far as I’m concerned it was an amazing experience.I went during the busiest time in the day as well, not a long que.
